Ticket Price Increase

When is it expected, next? I just need to make sure I get my next ones before they go up!!

Disney can and will go up anytime they want. There is no set scheduled from what I have read here. Last time I remember them going up was around August.

Usually they do it in July/August or so. They have to do it early enough in the year so that the printing for the guidebooks has the right price.

As other posters have said, it is usually in around July or August. If you want to get tickets, I would probably purchase them sometime soon - you never know when they might raise the prices, given the current economic situation.

Not always. Most guidebooks do not publish prices for tickets or rooms because those things are "subject to change", which is Disney-speak for "we'll do what we want without warning whenever we want to".

Disney raised Park Hopper rates on 1/8 in 2000, 1/9 in 2001, 9/8 in 2002 then on 6/1 in 2003 and Oct. 2004.

The MYW passes were introduced in January 2, 2005. That was a MAJOR change, not only in ticket prices but their structure as well. It caught a lot of guidebook authors by surprise. Most 2005 editions had advice based on the PH, PHP und UPH passes that Disney sold prior to 2005.

There's no rhyme or reason, but I'm thinking that it there is unlikely to be an increase anytime soon if the economy remains bad.

Normally Ticket Price increases always go into effect on a Sunday. The earliest Disney will usually announce the increases is late on a Friday afternoon.

The only people who know in advance are some managers and high level people, the programmers for the ticketing computers, and the people who make signs and printed materials.

Often many of us who sell tickets find out when we come in and find that the prices on our terminals are changed, and the sheets we have in the booths to show Guests their choices are new.

The last two across the board increases were the first Sundays in August of both 2007 and 2008.
