Ticket price increase at Sea World Orlando too!

In my opinion, all the major Orlando theme parks raising their ticket prices is getting out of control. There is going to come a time where people are going to pass on coming to the Orlando area because the price for everything is so ridiculously expensive.

The 3rd gate price increase for Sea world Orlando in less than 12 months. That works out to over $10 a year. Does this mean the $100 single day park ticket will arrive for summer 2014? :)

Well, that's just how it is in the real world. Even tho gas jumped 10cents from last night til this morning, I still had to come to work. Food prices go up every day too it seems like but I still have to eat. I could go on & on.
Theme parks are a big business, they have to operate like a big business or go under. They have to pay increased prices for their food, utilities & pay for their employees.
Just sayin....

We had a package deal with room and tickets to SW and BG, so I feel we came out pretty good. But if you ever want to do a one day anywhere, you are going to pay. While we were in Orlando, we popped in WDW to do MK for one day, $95 per adult, it was me, DH and DS 11 (a WDW adult) The other 3 WDW parks are $90, so you will pay more to go to MK. I didn't know that, but we went and had fun, so I guess it was worth it. We are going to go somewhere else next summer.

In comparison to what we have here in Canada, Orlando is still a very affordable vacation destination (even with the price increase). A SeaWorld fun card is $92. An annual pass to Canada's Wonderland (our closest major theme park, located outside of Toronto) is $84. But Canada's Wonderland is only open seasonally, meaning you get less bang for your buck right from the beginning, and the two parks aren't even comparable in quality of the experience for a visitor. Add in the fact that hotels are still WAY cheaper in Orlando than in Toronto, food is cheaper, gas is cheaper.....Orlando is a much more cost effective vacation for us Canucks, often even with airfare factored in.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that enjoying some warmth and sunshine is a very wonderful added bonus? :sunny:

That seems to really be the trend in all these increases. Each set of parks wants you staying and enjoying THEIR parks only for the duration of your vacation. The length of stay or week-long passes are still relatively reasonable. Its the single-day add-ons that are the real budget killers.

yes, 92.00 for a one day ticket. But what is intersting is an annual pass , with no blackout dates and includes parking is 150.00. AP definatly the better deal.

We're doing SeaWorld for the first time tomorrow!! For myself the one day ticket w/free all day dining was $94 & some change including tax. We're spending another few days at WDW but if we like SW we will probably buy an AP which like someone else said is really the way to go for all the parks.
