If we have a split stay, how does ticket linking work? Say we have a 4 day park hopper but doing a 2 and 2 resort split. How do you link tickets?

Also, say you purchased resort separately on a third party seller like say Expedia. How do you link that reservation to your tickets?

Finally, say you did a split stay with 2 sellers - 2 nights of rooms directly booked through WDTC, and then 2 nights with expedia? Can you still link these stays with 4 day park hoppers?

Thanks in advance...

You don't link tickets to resorts. Both tickets and resort reservations are linked to your My Disney Experience account. Every resort reservation has a confirmation number which you add to your MDE account. Tickets also have a number that you also enter into your MDE account.
