Is there or isn't there ticket-less packages? I've read there is and I've read there isn't. Anyone know?

Yes, ticketless packages exist. You need to call to book a ticketless package, it can't be done online.

We have a ticketless package for January. Basically, if you want to purchase the dining plan but don't need park passes (either you have an AP or didn't activate tickets you purchased in the past) they consider it a package because you're not just reserving a room. You can take advantage of a room only discount and still make it a package with dining.

So glad to hear ticket-less packages existed. Already called and re-booked our split stay as a package with tickets & dining for the first part and just dining for the second part. :flower1: They did tell me that I can still take advantage of discounts when they come out.

As I just posted I did re-book. They said I can still take advantage of discounts. I just assumed they meant package discounts. Are you saying I can still have a room only discount applied to the room portion of my package?

We have booked AP room discount with paid dining plan/no park tickets. For January we have construction discounted room we added paid dining plan to without purchasing park tickets (had park tickets not activated from a past trip we used AP's on). I'm drawing a blank on whether we've had a room only discount with paid dining, I lean toward thinking you can, just can't get free dining without purchasing a certain park ticket.

Yes, a room only discount can be applied to a package reservation. As long as the resort/room type you have booked is available under the discount, you can have it applied to your existing reservation (with the discount being on the room portion only).

So, I can add dining to my room only? We will not be going to any parks, at all...so does that matter?

This is awesome news, because I thought I read here (DIS) that you had to have park tickets to get the dining plan... that news changed my strategy about staying on-park, but now that it's back on the table, I think I'll go for the room + dining. I have unexpired tickets to use up...:thanks:

Keep in mind you wil not be able to dine at any restaurant inside a park as you need park passes to enter the park whether your only dining or not.

I agree awesome news. Doing a split stay but buying tickets on both halves was holding me back from a package. First CM insisted I had to have at least 1 day ticket. Already called and changed :)
