Okay, here's the deal. We (myself, DH, & DD11) will be going home to BCV (plus POP & AKL) in mid-July for 12 full days. I'm not counting our arrival or departure days. We plan to do 2 days at Universal - haven't been before. We are getting APs with our DVC discount and planning on a June, 2006 trip.
My niece, 14, always spends 2-4 weeks with us every summer. Talking with my sister last night, she was sort of hinting that mid-July was when she had planned for my niece to come visit. I told her we would love for DN to join us. What kind of ticket/price should I give DS? Once the DVC AP discount came out I stopped paying attention to the other tickets. They will buy her plane ticket but want me to get the admission tickets for her (they'll reimburse me.) It's 50/50 whether DN will join us for June, 2006.
Thanks for all suggestions.

I would do a standard Magic Your Way pass with park hopper option for the number of days you plan to visit. If you don't get the non-expiring option or the plus options, it will be the cheapest way to go. The neat thing about those tickets is that they get cheaper the more days you go for!

Hi!
We are in the same type of situation. myself, DH, and DD and niece (age 16) are going to SSR for 11 days in April. We plan on purchasing PAP's for us, and I figured out that the best deal for Niece is the Magic Your Way Hopping Ticket for 10 days (no plus options) and a Disney Quest/Water Parks Annual Pass, this total = $397.25 (gate). This way she is not limited to only 5 plus options on the 10 day Magic Your Way ticket and it is cheaper! The Magic Your Way Premium ticket (with park hopping and 5 plus options) = $307.79, but if we add on 5 more plus options (for DQ and Water Parks) the total = $488.84 (gate)! We plan on doing a lot of Disney Quest and Water Parks! If we were sure she was going with us next year (Feb.) we would have her buy an Annual Pass - but you never know what the future holds or if she would be interested next year at age 17!? Good Luck!!

Okay, I'm off to look at the tables again. The plus options have to be added to the 10 day ticket?

if you want to do the water parks - yes.

do you have the ap or pap - if you have ap I won't add the water parks - however if you have the pap and you intend to go - I would add it.

MYW 10 day PH, no-exp: $247 in advance
MYW 10 day premium, no-exp: $402 in advance
AP: $421
PAP: $548

Disney Quest: single admission: $36/ annual pass: $84
Water Parks: single admission: $36/ annual pass: $106

The MYW 10 day premium has 5 pluses, but is $155 more expensive than the same length PH, so costing $31 per water park or DQ visit, assuming you use all 5. If you will not take 5 plus options, then perhaps better to simply get the regular tix than single admissions. If she does lots of DQ time, then perhaps the MYW 10 day ticket plus a DQ AP ($247 + $84 = $331), then any water park time on single admission basis.

In the end it would take a lot to justify a the cost of a PAP; the again, anything over 10 days would certainly justify it. And depending on her habits, the MYW premium might be a bit pricy compared to the regular MYW w/hopping, single admission or APs for the pluses. Of course, if her address were the same as yours, she could qualify for the DVC discounted AP or PAP.

Good luck with your figuring.

Checked with DB-I-L. DN still has her PHP from two years ago with three unused pluses. He put it in the safety deposit box. Such an intelligent man. We've never done DQ, may have to look into it. DD and DN are both the orchestra/Latin club types. It's kind of painful to watch them play electronic/virtual reality type games.
DQ wasn't included in the old PHpluses, was it?
