Ticket/Fast Pass Question

We are staying offsite and are coming up on our date to book fast passes. I am not 100% sure if our college aged son will be joining us. I have a ticket for him (which I know I can save for another time if he doesn't come). However, if I attach it to his MDE account and book FP's for him and he decides not to join us - can I use the ticket another time for a different person? Or will it be permanently attached to his MDE account?

An unused ticket can be reassigned via MDE to anyone else in the future.
