Ticket Bridging Question-purchase discounted ticket through Disney for conference?

Hi! I will be traveling to WDW in November for a medical education conference. Disney is offering discounted park tickets to conference attendees. If I purchase one of these discounted tickets, when I go to upgrade to an annual pass, will I only get credit for what I paid since it was done through Disney? In the past, I have bridged tickets that I have purchased through Undercover Tourist. I read through the ticket sticky but wasn't sure about this particular situation.
