Are there buses from here to the other theme parks?

I would like to park there on our next trip in the morning, then take a bus to Animal Kingdom. Later in the day we are going to return the Magic Kingdom for night activities and dinner.

I would prefer to park once, or is it easier to drive to AK, then back to MK?

Yes, you can take busses from the TTC to other parks. For what you're planning, I'd do the same thing.

If you want to drive to just one park and park hop from there, it is best to go to the parking lot of the park you will be at last. This way you won't be stranded if the park where you left the car closes first.

This is a good rule of thumb.

However, if you find you have it reversed, there will be transportation from the park that is still open or just closed, to the park that has been closed for a while. HOWEVER, the transporation may not be as frequent, and there may be no trams to get you to your car or lights on in the parking lot.
