Ticket and Transportation Center

Hi! I feel like this is probably an absolutely stupid question  , but I have searched the boards and the site in general and I haven't found th info I need. What exactly is the Ticket and Transportation Center and where is it in Disney World? Is it the main ticket gate at the Magic Kingdom or is it something else?

I need to drop items off to groups who should be waiting for me at the Animal Kingdom gate, Epcot gate, and Transportation and Ticket Center all in the same morning ... and I'd like to do it as early as possible. I'm trying to plan a route and figure out what Disney transportation to take to each place. I'll have a rental vehicle, but I figure taking Disney Transportation might be better than having to try to find parking and then walking across a monsterious parking lot to each of these places ... or would I be able to find 'temporary' parking (such as 30 minute metered spaces) close up?

I'll be leaving from the POP Century resort and would ultimately like to end up at the Magic Kingdom to meet up with my family.

Any experts out there willing to help a total Disney novice?

Thanks!
Elaine

The TTC is across the lake from Magic Kingdom. It serves as the jumping off spot for the main parking lot of MK. The monorail stops here, the ferry runs from here. This is where the shuttles from off-site resorts drop those going to MK. Just keep heading for MK, there will be signage telling you where to go for TTC. It will be a left turn on the main road to MK. But if you get to the Contemporary or MK...you've gotten too far down the road!!

Thanks for the clarification! I figured I was overlooking something obvious but I just couldn't find the answer! :rolleyes1

So ... would it be reasonable to ride the bus from POP to Animal Kingdom then take ??(bus/monorail)?? to Epcot then take ?????? to Transportation Center then go to the Magic Kingdom. Would I need to take transportation from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom gate or just walk?

Yes! I am totally clueless about getting around! :rotfl2:

Thanks!
Elaine

If you're driving to the TTC from points south, easiest thing to do is follow directions to the Polynesian. This means staying to the right as you enter the toll plaza, rather than heading into the MK parking lot.

When World Drive crosses Seven Seas Drive, a right turn goes to Wilderness Lodge, a left turn takes you toward the Polynesian.

On your right, you'll quickly see the Pet Care Kennel, or whatever it's called. This is at the eastern end of the TTC, and makes for an easy-to-find meeting place. As long as you stay with your car or don't wander far, parking here for just a few minutes should not be a problem.

The TTC is rather spread out, which is why I suggest the Kennel as a good meeting place.

This approach will let you avoid parking in the huge MK lot, and there's no "cheating" involved.

(Seems we replied at the same time)

For your scenario -

1 - Bus to Animal Kingdom
2 - Bus AK to Epcot
3 - Monorail to TTC

No need to go to MK at all, if TTC is really where you want to be.

Coming down the monorail ramp, turn left and you'll be heading toward the kennel - still recommended as a good meeting place.

Thank you SOOOOO much! Your step by step info is SOOOOO helpful to me!! I need someone to 'spoon feed' me sometimes!

I do want to end up at the MK ... to actually go in and enjoy the day with my family once all of my work obligations are complete. So while the TTC will be my last 'drop off' (and thanks for the Kennel suggestion as a meeting place) after that I do want to go into the MK. So ... is it a reasonable walk from TTC or would I ride something *lol* (Duh, yes, I'm hopeless!)

Walking isn't an option (with the exception of a first-century carpenter from the middle east), but you have a couple choices to get from TTC to MK.

First is the monorail - all the lines come together at the TTC, but your best bet is the one labelled (you guessed it) "Magic Kingdom". ("Resort Monorail" will also get you there, but it's a longer ride, and you won't get to cruise right through the middle of the Contemporary Resort lobby, which is cool for a first-timer.)

Second option is the boat - a great big one that takes you straight across the lagoon. This can also be fun.

Glad this is helpful.

Okay I had the same question, and I am still confused. okay is the TTC where you normally buy your tickets at the mk ticket booths after you get off the shuttle from the parking lot, or is it before you get into the mk parking lot. Also we will be taking the bus from the pop, so how will this work? All I need to do is pick up our tickets at the TTC.

TIA,

The TTC serves everyone coming to MK in a car, or the private shuttle buses from off-site resorts. It has the monorail station. You can then access MK either by ferry, across the lake or by monorail. The spot the resort buses will drop you is right at MK. So, if you are picking up tickets at TTC you will need to go there. Is there some reason you can't pick up tickets at the windows at MK? I would think that if you have to go to TTC from POP, you could use the MK bus from POP and then take the monorail over to the TTC.

There is no need to go to the TTC to pick up the will call tickets. You can get them at the Guest Relations window located to the right of the MK turnstiles near where the PC bus will drop you off at the MK bus station.
