We are in the very early stages of planning our first trip to Universal. We would like to go for either 5 or 7 nights--however long it would take for us to enjoy both parks and fully experience HHN. We are looking at either the first full week in October (the 4-11) or the third week (18-24). We are planning on staying on-site--most likely at the Hard Rock, but we aren't overly partial to any of the three.

I was wondering if we should go ahead and take advantage of the 7 day 2/park pass for $99? I didn't know if it could go away at any moment. I'm also a little confused about the type of ticket(s) we will need for HHN. We are willing to go to HHN two nights, if we aren't able to see it all in one night. Its just two adults, so we are pretty good at managing our time. I don't need concrete answers right now, I'm just trying to make a rough budget.

I read somewhere else where they were recommending an AP if you stay 7 nights, but I wasn't sure what the logic behind that recommendation was. So my basic question is, if you were buying tickets for this trip, what kind(s) would you buy? Thanks!!!

Yes. I would either get it or one annual pass and that ticket. With the Wizarding World of Harry Potter coming soon, I really think we are going to see a jump in ticket prices.

I would just buy one night for hhn. This past Oct. was not a good hhn in my opinion. We bought two nights tickets and really didn't want to go back the second night.I'm hoping it will be alot better this year but we are going to give it a try first and if it's worth going again then buy the second night.

Forgot to add that I hope you know HHN is a separate ticketed event.

i am totally and completely addicted to HHN..........

do try hhn for a couple of nights.
each night you attend can be different...

i go at the columbus day time period each year so i can hit 4 nights of this special event.

more information about HHN will start coming during the summer.

Yes, I am aware that it is a seperate event/ticket. I did a little reading this past Fall on the types of tickets, tours, and whatnot you can do for HHN and I was confused, but I'm sure I will learn what I need to know by the time it rolls around.
