Real smooth. We rode 10 times with bathroom breaks.

Previews are previews for the reason of testing and trying the attraction with real people. Shutdowns during previews is to be fully anticipated.

Limited shutdowns during regular hours is also to be anticipated. Hopefully for shorter times and less frequently but they can happen.

Thrill-Data tracks many stats, including attraction downtime, for TBA.

My daughter's family got a boarding pass #4 today, the ride is down, can they use later or do they try for new one at 1pm

You can use it later. Once they start boarding again they will restart with the groups they left off at.

I'm wondering the same thing. We (DLers) don't get ours till some undetermined date this year, so I was hoping to at least enjoy reading about WDW's..

That's what I'm talking about. A new ride opens, and there doesn't seem to be any reaction. As if everyone just hit the snooze button...

Probably because the online reactions happened after Disney released the full ride through video, after the media previews and during the AP/DVC/etc previews. The internet is over it by this point as it’s been weeks.

If you find the preview thread some of us posted reactions there. Personally I liked it. It’s not an every trip sort of ride because water but it felt like new life has been brought to the area and the ride. The new animatronics were excellent as expected.
