right, that's 6 tripsKTP is reporting 2 hours before and 1 hour after parade time is how long the Liberty Belle will be out of service for regular guests.
So I guess you are saying this event is not for meThough .. Disney does do a good job at making "events" that are for the people on these forums - Disney nuts that go yearly or every other year and are looking for something new and "special" to do since they've already ridden every attraction many times.

just the 3:00, 3:30pmThat's a huge chunk out of the dayIs the event going on during both parade times or just one? If it's both, the boat will barely be open.

So is this the beginning of the slippery slope of closing attractions for upcharge events?
What's next?
Rent out Tom Sawyer's Island for a few hours for a group outing? With a picnic lunch?
Put up more cabanas in that rest area next to Pete's Silly Side Show in Storybook Circus and make it so only those people can use the splash pad?
A special private Jungle Cruise? With animal themed snacks?
Your own private train ride? With wild-west themed snacks and desserts?
Rent out one of the Star Tours ships and let you ride on it and see all the different trips?
VIP Jedi Training?
Between this, yet another festival at Epcot and the Cabana's, Disney seems to continue to reach for extra revenue wherever it can in its parks. While I don't really have a huge issue with it (as they aren't things I feel are worth the extra money and I don't think changes my personal experience), I think the "perceived" nickel and diming will turn off a lot of people.
I looked around at several days and nothing had filled up yet, including xmas, xmas eve, NYE, 12/30, so it may not be as popular as they would like. Although, there hasn't been much time for word to get around yet.
It was just announced today, and hasn't even been announced. Just a page on the site and a post on the HUB. The only ones who know about it are cast members who pay attention to the hub, and people who read here or a few bloggers. Since we have no clue what the capacity is, and it's running for several months, I would be surprised to see it fill up on the first day
I think I'd rather do Tony's....anyone know if that will be extended past Dec 17th?
I concur. It's good for those who want to do it,but not for me.I'm waiting for the upcharge for breathing at a rate> than 12 breaths per minute while enjoying all of the wonderful scents that are piped into the parks,or the lovely smells from the bakery or other food venues..So is this the beginning of the slippery slope of closing attractions for upcharge events?
