My DD (3 1/2) just saw a Tiana doll at Target and wants her badly, but she is in a package of all the Princess dolls which is $60.00 and since she has pretty much all of the other dolls, I have no intention of spending that much money just to get one doll out of the package. I checked around and most websites say the single Tiana doll (who is beautiful) is not being released until Nov. 1. Walmart however claims that they have her in stock and can ship her out now. Anyone tried this and actually got her yet? Anyone have any experience with Walmart when they claim to have something that other stores don't have yet? I'm not sure I trust Wal-mart as the only other time I ordered something from their website, it was a huge pain and delay after delay.

all the disney stores had the single tiana doll in mid to late september...I imagine by now you've already picked one up.

we were in Toys R Us the other night ( to get Snow White DVD ) and they have a single package Tiana doll for $ 10.99. We found her in the Disney princess section but she actually had her own little section apart from the other Princesses....but ours had plenty in stock :)

I got mine at Toys R Us, as someone else mentioned, when they had the buy 2 princesses get 1 free promo a few weeks back. So 3 dolls for $22.

My DD brought Tiana to Disney World and got tons of attention from the CMs b/c they weren't selling her down there yet. Many said it was the first one they saw, including the talking trash can in MK!

DD really, really wanted that huge set from Target, but since I found it after Christmas marked down 75% last year, there's no way I was paying $60 for one doll! I bought her the $10.99 one from TRU, it's very cute. I'll probably grab the prince doll at the Disney Store next we swing by, the trick will be to do it without DD. I also got an email from disneyshopping.com today about their Princess & the Frog section, so you might want to check them out also. :goodvibes

We saw two different styles of Tiana doll at Target the other night, packaged individually. DD showed some interest in one. They had a Toddler Tiana doll at The Disney Store last week that was really precious. I LOVE Tiana's green dress. I think it's the most beautiful dress of all the princesses. They had the Deluxe dress at TDS as well. I'm thinking it was about $80, but I'm too lazy at the moment to look it up. It was just so pretty! DD has so many dress up dresses, but she doesn't wear them that much. There will probably be a dolly under the Christmas tree this year though. Just so that I can enjoy her dress!

I was at Target the other day and the single Tiana was right by the big set of all the princesses. She is really pretty and the little frog she comes with is adorable! :lovestruc

Thanks everyone! We did find her at Toys R Us last weekend. Our Disney Store didn't have her yet a couple of weeks ago, but they did have the toddler version. That one was really cute, but not what my DD is into playing with right now. Toys R Us also had a really cute Polly Pocket type set with Tiana and her prince if anyone is interested. Great Ephany- you would have to mention the Prince Doll-- now I think I'm going to have to make a trip to the Disney store! ;) I sure hope the movie is as good as it looks from the previews, since I'm already buying the stuff. I'm sure it will be- it's a Disney princess movie with what looks like great characters and great music!

I just purchased Tiana last week at target. My target had 3....the one in the big set with the rest of the princesses, the one for 24.99 that moves her head and speaks or sings and comes with the frog and then the plain Tiana for 10.99

She is super pretty and I am glad that dd wanted her...unfortunately she wanted the 24.99 one and not the 10.99 one...and she specifically mentioned that she liked that it came with the frog! Oh well!!! Good thing I had a $14.00 mattel coupon from a recalled item that I returned. That helped quite a bit!:thumbsup2

You guys are killing me--- Target has one that comes with a frog AND she talks or sings! Looks like I may be making a trip to target. :lmao:

My pleasure. :lmao: When DD started getting into Barbie and Disney Princess dolls she was not happy that the princes' weren't readily available. I think other little girls felt the same because the selection at the Disney Store has definitely increased in the last year or two. I think I'm down to Aladdin and this fellow and we're good.

My mom sent her the Tiana halloween costume today. DD is thrilled, but I don't even want to know how much it cost. Thank goodness for grandmas!

DD definitely felt the same way!! Plus, she had a HUGE crush on Aladdin and was completely wrecked that there was no Aladdin doll anywhere to be found in the stores at the time. I wound up on Ebay for weeks on that one trying to find one at a reasonable price. Of course, probably a month or two later they started selling them at the Disney Store. She also isn't happy that they don't have dolls from the Peter Pan movies as she is a huge fan. Luckily when we saw Disney on Ice last year, they had a Peter Pan doll that was about the same size as a Barbie. He is made out of a much harder material, but she didn't seem to care. She was one happy kid that day!!

I bet that dress wasn't cheap! I'd say Thank Goodness for Grandmas too, but my Mom lives in town and as a result, my house looks suspiciously like a toy store.
