Thumbs up to Coronado Springs!

I recently stayed at Coronado Springs. It was my first time there. For some reason I had decided in advance that I didn't really like that resort. Well, can I tell you that I have now changed my mind?

The resort was beautiful. Even though it is large it was nice and quiet. You never would have thought there were so many other rooms.

We had dinner and breakfast at the Pepper Market and both meals were very good. There was lots to choose from and everyone could get what they wanted from the different areas.

I would definitely stay there again.

Glad you liked it. We love it, too! It's hands down our favorite moderate and we like it better than quite a few of the deluxes we've stayed in as well. Great service. Beautiful landscaping and architecture. Amazing themeing and detail. Laid back, relaxed, and romantic atmosphere. Top notch bus service. Incredible pool. Awesome foodcourt. We think it's one of the best kept secrets at Disney World! In fact, we are heading back in May and I told my husband he could pick any resort he wanted, and he's asked to go back to CSR.

I agree! I had heard bad things about it but didn't let that stop me from trying it myself. We loved it! I can't call it my favorite mod yet as there are 2 more I haven't tried yet.... but I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be.

I had the same opinion about Coronado Springs until I stayed there in April and October of this year. Now it rivals POFQ as my favorite moderate resort. My friends found it to be very calming and loved the themeing throughout the resort. We enjoyed meals at the Pepper Market (sometimes we took our food outsdie and ate at the tables overlooking the lagoon) and not sharing the transportation bus was nice too. Would definitely stay here again.

CSR is my favourite resort to visit. I really enjoy the store, the bulding design, the general atmosphere of this resort. I think that the fitness facility is one of the best I have ever used. Plus the Pepper Market is the best eatery of any resort.
If only I could get AP rates when I go it would be perfect.

I loved CSR also. It is so bright and cheerful and the grounds are beautiful. The pool is great. I am hoping they run AP discounts for that resort as I would like to stay there again.

We chose Ranchos section. I liked the theming of it. I was right we were quite happy there and would request to stay there again. We don't get to see to much (American SW/ Mexican) styles around here.

SO glad you liked it! We first stayed there in '02 and had chosen it based on lots of reviews from the boards. I absolutely loved it and we are headed there again in just 2 days! I have never stayed at any other Disney resort, so I can't compare it to anything else.

FIl recently had hip surgery, so we have requested a disabled access room with an adjoining room (FIL, SIL, and MIL will stay in disabled room and the me, DH and DS's will be in adjoining room). Disney was very accomodating when I called with this request. I also asked for nonsmoking. Hopefully we will be in a "nice" area--I didn't really request anything specific since I was more interested in the room. Walking is good for us so I don't really mind if we are far from Pepper market, the pool, or whatever.

I will report in when I get back!

Same here. In 1998 I visited the resort briefly. I was in a crummy mood and didn't really have a great impression initially. Fast forward to August 2002 and I fell in love with the resort. It is so pretty and tropical! Can't wait to go back!!!
