Thrown out of the park?

DS saw a man who was very upset over the one beer per ID rule. The man became very loud and abusive to the CM and profanity was flowing freely. He was told that if he didn't quiet down, he would be escorted out of the park. Security eventually came and led him away.

Not a beer drinker myself, but will be going next spring with someone who is. So do tell . . . what's the "one beer per ID rule" ?? Is that per restaurant? Per day?

Not kicked out, but had my photo "Zapped by Zurg" on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. All I did was stick out my tongue and maybe make "antlers" with my hands by my head. Guess Disney doesn't like this, but it wasn't like I flashed or made any obscene gestures.

I think it just means that for example, a man cannot walk up to a counter service and order a beer for his wife and himself. She has to be there with her own ID. You can have seconds. (And it's a darn good thing too! )

Just per purchase. You can get another later When they enforce it, you can't purchase a couple of beers and carry one to someone waiting for it. There has to be a guest with ID present for each drink ordered.

They need to throw people out that have BO and that curse loudly. Although i admit that first one would be a horrible job for some CM. But they should think about it. I think most normal peeps would really appreciate it.

OK, I've told this story often, when we went in 02 my kids were 3,7,and 8. We were in the Haunted Mansion headed for the Doom Buggies, and there was a couple in front of us, maybe 18 years old or so, and the young lady (for lack of a better term) was swearing up a storm. Not angry or anything, just telling the boyfriend a story. He kept looking at my kids standng there and looking back at his girlfriend, and finally I heard him say "If you swear one more time I'm walking out and leaving you here, there are tons of little kids around". I thanked him, and it's not often a young man would be so aware of those around him. - maybe a little off topic, but I've never seen anyone kicked out, though I saw some I wish were.

It makes me cringe to see people cursing around kids. I mean I occasionally lose my temper and cuss, but never around little kids. Whats up with someone at dis walking beside a little kid saying "and I F-ing went to the F-ing store and got a F-ing candy bar that stuck to the top of my F-ing mouth." I can't stand peeps that can't tell a normal story without throwing the F word in every other word like that helps with the F-ing story, oh sorry I did it too. But seriously it is so lowwwww class.

This happened to one of our good friends about 5 yrs ago. He was at WDW for a business conference. He and another colleague went out to DTD on their last night to have a few drinks. I can't remember which club he said this happened at, but he mentioned it was a dance club and knowing my friend probably 8Traks. Well, after a couple of drinks my friends colleague accidently bumps someone. The other person was also quite drunk and starts to get aggressive. Before you know it fists are flying btwn the two guys. My friend said it seemed like once the first punch was thrown security came out of the woodwork. He said they were plain clothes and seemed invisible. Well, one of the security grabs his colleague and my friend puts his hand on the security officers back to say something like "Hey it wasn't my friends fault." and all of a sudden he is jumped by security. He said they took him and his friend to a drunk tank off property and were told they were banned from Disney for life.

Now, the funny thing is my friend is the most passive, laidback person you'd ever meet. Also, he and his wife now have 2 kids and they want to take them to WDW. His wife is a HUGE Disney fan. They are hoping to go soon, but don't know what Disney is going to say.

That was before scanner technology at the parks. If it happened today or in the near future, who knows?
Also, two weeks ago at AS-Sports a woman who claimed to be a travel agent was demanding a room upgrade because she had booked on line a handicapped room and didn't get it. The cm told her repeatedly that the only way to guarantee any special considerations on rooms is by phone and her room wasn't guaranteed. She claimed to have a doctor's note saying she had to be in a wheelchair. She was standing right in front of me and very aggressive. She may need a wheeelchair some of the time, but not all. The cm had had his fill of her and made it very clear she would not get an upgrade. This happened at 10:30 p.m during her check-in. The louder she got, the less open to giving up anything this manager-cm got. Sometimes being rude and loud has the opposite effect.

a few years ago we were at fantisa mini golf --

we were staying at CBR and they told us in order to get there take the bus to DTD and transfer to Boardwalk--in doing this we went right past CBR--

so we just walked back --it was easier and faster then going back to DTD--

well we just stepped foot on the CBR property when security was right at our heels!!!

It was no big deal--they just asked us if we were staying there and where we were coming from--dindt even ask for ID

its good to know that security is really watching out

FYI, I don't think this is a Disney thing, I think it is a Florida law. I find it really frustrating. It sort of stinks that one of us can't hold our spot for, say, Fantasmic, while the other is getting beers. But that has to be a lot worse for the family where mom wants to stay with the kids and hold down their spot while dad goes and orders. And it's always been enforced with me. The only wiggle room I've seen is, for example, DBF and I were sitting in the outdoor area of HoB. DBF took my ID and went up to the bar. When he ordered he showed them my ID and pointed me out. I waved back. They let him have two drinks and after that it wasn't a problem. Oh, and when we were at Sea World we attempted to buy beer at 10:50 and couldn't (no alcohol sales before 11 am in Florida). Now, we normally don't start drinking that early, but it was really hot, we were really thirsty, and we saw the stand as we were walking into the dolphin show. The server started to get the beers for us but then realized the time. So we went into the dolphin show, got our seats, and 15 minutes later DBF went back to the stand and got the beer. Since she remembered us from a few minutes earlier, she gave him the beers. At least I assumed that's why she did it.

Okay, sorry for the thread hijack. Back to regular programming...

I was on ToT one time with some friends toward the end of the night. It was my party of 4 on one side and these teenagers on the other. They were being loud and obnoxious, but it wasn't really anything unusual. Well when the doors opened on the first floor (the one with the ghosts beckoning to you) one of them joked that they were going to throw their gum at the ghosts, and even pulled it out of his mouth. All of a sudden we heard this voice saying "Please do not throw things from the vehicle." Then, when the ride ended and the doors opened up, security was there. We were let off and as we were walking away we heard security say "We have cameras EVERYWHERE." We wanted to see what happened next but there was nowhere for us to secretly loiter.

About a year ago, I was in EPCOT, around the U.S.A. in the World Showcase. I was walking with my parents, so I couldn't see what was going on. But I could hear it. Apparently, there was a man who had a shirt with a vulgar word on it. A cast member approached him and told him to either turn the shirt inside out or buy another one. I don't know what happened after that, though.​

I think WDW should crack down on the people that break the rules. These people feel that rules don't apply to them anywhere in this world and that their happiness and comfort are more important than anyone else's. Ever notice that the people that yell and scream the loudest , usually get what they want? What kind of lesson do these people learn when business' give in to this behavior? It's like dealing with a 3-year old.

Sadly, I think that the problem lies with a majority of us being too laid back or reluctant to take action. It adds fuel to the fire. A perfect example: John Doe shows up at a store wanting to buy the hottest stereo in town and they're sold out. He screams at the clerk. He screams at the manager, who is embarrassed and bends over to please him by giving him a discount on something else. What happens? John Doe tries this tactic at a restaurant that has run out of the house special. They give him a free meal. See where this is going? I think that's the problem as well. We need to stop once in a while and put our foot down. Of course, not with every single person but just the fake adults, the ones who look like they're over 21 but act like they're 12![/QUOTE]

Was this John Doe or Jane Doe? Sounds like how my sister deals with most people in her life. It's so sad. She stays hot about something all the time. We don't spend much time around her because of this behavior. And boy, it's not pretty to be on the receiving end!

the one drink per ID isn't a Florida law, we've got two for one happy hours here.

it's a self-imposed rule at all of the parks. because Orlando is such a worldwide destination, the parks have to deal with customs from different countries. you have to be 21 to drink legally in America, but that's not the case in a country like France.

the one drink per ID ensures people aren't breaking the law and providing an 18 year old that could drink legally in his country.
