Thrown out of the park?

i know that disney is really good about keeping problems very low key as long as the guest doesn't draw huge attention to his/herself (aka: drunks, hysterical people, guest fighting with eachother - dads fighting dads for some stupid reason such as fast passes happen a lot); i know that orange county gives back up support to disney police (so if someone is taken to jail or a holding place, it is in a local jail run by orange county)
i do know for certain that if guests beat up characters they will be kicked out of the park if it is obivious that they are just trying to beat the character up on purpose ( there are a lot of older teens and adults that think it's so funny to push them down and then keep hitting/kicking them - and this happens some what often :( )

And I hope security beats the heck out of the teens and adults who do this once they are taken into custody. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior.

My husband was thrown out of Disneyland when he was 18. He said that he was with a bunch of friends on NYE and some of them were smoking pot on the people mover thing. He said there was a group of about 5 or 6 of them on the ride and only 2 or 3 were smoking but they threw out the whole group. He said they photographed, their IDs were checked, and then they were escorted out of the park. He said he didnt remember being told not to come back the next day or anything, but they made it quite clear that they were NOT to come back that night.

Years ago, friends of ours witnessed a husband & wife having a fight while standing on line for a ride on a really hot day. The fight got louder, starting to cloud that Disney aura, and a CM came and whisked them away. We've always laughed about the "Disney Marriage Police".

My friend asked another CM where they were taken and was told they were probably just taken somewhere indoors so they could sit down, and given a cool drink.

I've certainly had moments in life when I would've benefitted from the Disney Marriage Police swooping in!

I saw a man being removed in the 1980s. He was asked not to cross the street during the middle of the parade and he became irate and cussed out the poor CM very loudly. He made quite a scene and a bunch of CMs showed up and escorted him away. I felt very sorry for his poor wife and children. They looked completely humiliated, unfortunately, I'm sure they'd witnessed his idiotic behavior prior to that incident. I think if I were them, I would've stayed in the park and let him cool his jets alone.

I think WDW should crack down on the people that break the rules. These people feel that rules don't apply to them anywhere in this world and that their happiness and comfort are more important than anyone else's. Ever notice that the people that yell and scream the loudest , usually get what they want? What kind of lesson do these people learn when business' give in to this behavior? It's like dealing with a 3-year old.[/QUOTE]

Sadly, I think that the problem lies with a majority of us being too laid back or reluctant to take action. It adds fuel to the fire. A perfect example: John Doe shows up at a store wanting to buy the hottest stereo in town and they're sold out. He screams at the clerk. He screams at the manager, who is embarrassed and bends over to please him by giving him a discount on something else. What happens? John Doe tries this tactic at a restaurant that has run out of the house special. They give him a free meal. See where this is going? I think that's the problem as well. We need to stop once in a while and put our foot down. Of course, not with every single person but just the fake adults, the ones who look like they're over 21 but act like they're 12!

You're cracking me up. I may not mind being locked up in that jail for a little while - especially if Captain Jack Sparrow were in there. Right ladies?? :thumbsup2

Anyway - that was a great response.

RIGHT ON.. ;) :rotfl:

A few years ago, DH and I were entering Epcot at the international gateway and 2 or 3 young men jumped some bushes avoiding the entrance gates. Not 5 seconds later Disney security caught up with them and took them backstage. We were very impressed at how quickly Disney responded. It made us feel a bit safer

A few years ago, I was waiting for my family to get off the Dinosaur ride at the end of the ride.

A dinosaur character came out from the back and was walking around greeting children.

A teenage girl jumped on its back and wouldn't get off. Her friends were laughing and having a great time. The escort radioed someone and within moments security and other cast members came and pulled her off the character. Her friends wanted to know what was going to happen to their friend and they said she was going to the exit.

Security took her in the back and her friends walked away upset for their friend.

Wow - that must only happen if you make a fuss - wish I'd known to! We "lost" our photos twice in a row on Splash Mountain when we were ready to buy them! Oh well...it saved us money I guess.

That's so unfair. Maybe you should have begged them to let your family ride again since it was NOT your fault that someone had to lift her top for the camera. I would like DW to have special exceptions where if someone ruins the experience for everyone else, then they would be able to ride again.

Often the CM's do let you ride again to get the picture of yourself. IMHO you should be required to purchase the picture to do this and then you get a double voucher, one half is a fastpass to let you back on the ride and the other half is a claim check for the picture when you return to the exit.

If my child had been there and this girl had spoilt things by doing that I would have 'assisted' the character in getting the girl off !!!!! :furious:

I think Disney does an excellent job of handling issues that come up. Like some others who have posted here, I have never seen any overt behavior like OP describes. What I have seen...

1) parents acting like jerks toward their kids (If people would just learn to take a deep breath and count to 10... :sad2: )

2) several people smoking outside smoking areas (I cannot tell you how much this aggravates me  )

3) people jumping lines -especially character greets (I usually just chalk this up to people getting carried away by the moment. I tend to let it slide)

4) people leaving their garbage lying around all over benches and other public areas (see my comment on smoking outside designated areas ;) )

Saw something about 2 years ago. DS and I were at the restrooms in MGM, the ones near RnR and ToT. I was waiting on DS outside when this 20 something ran up to this woman sitting beside me so I had to listen in :rolleyes1 The man tells the lady that "Bob" just got in trouble. He apparently jumped over the wall near RnR. They had not caught him yet. They ran off looking for Bob and DS and I proceeded on to RnR. We got all the way inside where you wait behind the chain link fence and we saw they guy I had seen before and Bob. Bob #2 was sitting in the ride staring straight ahead while the CM was trying to get Bob #1 out of the ride. He was refusing to move. Finally he got out and proceeded to cuss a blue streak at the CM who was not taking anything off this guy. They finally escorted him out and Bob #1 continued on the ride.

LMAO idiots got what they deserved. Like they're the first to think of that and Disney has no experience catching people going through there. :rotfl2:

I haven't seen anyone get thrown out, but I saw someone that couldn't get in. I was at the Guest Relations window at EPCOT, just to pick up my DDE card and the cast member next to me was trying to explain to the British woman why she couldn't wear a shirt with the letters " F C U K " on it (in that order). I guess its a clothing company in the UK and her husband was screaming and yelling about how unfair it was. The CM even tried to give her a free tshirt and called the manager, but I don't think they let them in!

A few years ago my brother and his friends were at PI standing in a line waiting to get into one of the clubs. his friend was "swaying" (i guess he had a little too much to drink) a Disney security guard walked up to him, tapped him on the shoulder and said "you're out!" LOLOL Leave it to my brother and his friends to get thrown out of Disney! Even though it was his friend and not my brother who technically was thrown out, we wont let him live that one down!

This past August we saw 2 people who had too much to drink and both were in Epcot. My DS had to use the restroom and when he came out he told us there was a man in bathroom who could hardly stand. We waited a few minutes to see him come out. He could hardly stand and was stumbling all over. It was obvious that he was very intoxicated. Not one CM approached him.

The other had a bit too much to drink and while we were waiting on the line for Soarin, he started a fight with the people in front of us. He was very rude and should have been thrown out immediately. The only problem was there wasn't a CM around.
