Just throwing a good pity party for myself. don't even know where to start!! Life can really get you down. DH and I planned our first adult only trip to WDW this month. Youngest DS is 16 and was to stay with his grandmother. Oldest DD now has her own place. Just last May our oldest DS and his family(DW and 3 kids) moved from Florida and bought a house just down the street from us. It was run down and needed LOTS of work. We all poured our hearts and souls, not to mention money, into getting this going for them. Just before XMas DDIL's parents came to visit for the first time and were really impressed with the work they had done and proud of what they had accomplished.
DH and I had our trip planned to leave on Sunday Feb 5. On the Monday night prior DS called and said that DW's father had died suddenly of a heart attack. Plans were quickly made and money gathered to send them to Florida for the funeral. They decided to drive as money was really short. They would return the following Tuesday. DS made us promise to go on our trip. Well we did. We took our first ever flight and arrived in WDW Sunday night. Then at 4 am on Tuesday my cell rings and it is DD saying that DS's house was on fire. It seems the house next door caught fire and took the one on either side with it. We were beside ourselves. If it wasn't for the GREAT help from Daran at the desk at ASMo I could have never gotten through it. He made all arrangements for us to return and credited all usused costs back to my credit card.
We arrived home before DS and family and decided to not tell them until they got here as they were driving. That was the hardest thing to do. Now my household of 3 is a household of 8 and we are barely coping. Each day seems to bring another hurdle and more frayed nerves. I hope we can figure out the next step and just make it though what is coming next.
Boy didn't mean to write a letter, just wanted to "unload"

That's just awful!!
. Sounds like you could use a big (hug), soft shoulder and a break! Thankfully you have a family that seems to pitch in and help each other when life tests you to the max. That, and taking it one day at a time is what it's all about. Hope things look up for you and yours real soon. Hang in there and keep the faith. Believe ~ there is light at the end of the tunnel.
