Thrifty Rental Cars

I've never rented from Thrifty before but got a great deal of $771 for 3 weeks in July when the other places were charging $1500 to $1800!

Normally we rent cars through Expedia and have to pay up front. Thrifty doesn't ask for payment but does send a reservation confirmation by email. Does this confirmation still guaranttee us a minivan even if we haven't put any money down (we'll be arriving around 11 p.m.)?

Renting from any of the big chains is done without a deposit. But when you reserve a specific class of vehicle, you are guaranteed to get that class of vehicle. Occasionally, a rental location may be out of a specific class of vehicle due to unexpected circumstances, but if that happens, you will be given the next larger class of vehicle at no additional charge.

I've rented from Thrifty at MCO several times (though not since they recently moved inside the terminal!), and I've been very pleased with both the people and the vehicles.
