Thrifty Car Rental

anyone rent from thrifty? i was able to get a great rate.

crazy as it sounds i think i still may use ME with my 3 yr old while my husband picks up the rental car with my 5 year old. this way we dont have to deal with luggage. my. my 5 yearold is handicapped and in a special stroller so we have been worrying how we were going to get the luggage and push him and hold the 3 year olds hand. this seems to be the best idea. im hoping we can beat him to the hotel.. i will have all the check in information.

any other ideas?

Thrifty is convenient, even though you have to take a shuttle. The buses are usually there waiting, and the rental place is just outside the North Exit of the airport. A tip for whoever picks up the car; even though the Bee Line to I-4 is right there, drive through the airport to the South Exit and take 417. The tolls are more expensive, but it is typically MUCH faster.

thanks. does 417 take you to I-4? How do we get driving directions from the airport to WL?

To Wilderness Lodge.

Coming down (west; southwest) on I-4 or on 417 exit onto Rte 536. labeled Epcot.

Should I now say, stay in the left lane?

Bear left when that opportunity arises and follow the Magic Kingdom signs.

After the Magic Kingdom toll booth immediately bear right, skip the first right turn and take the second.

Leaving Thrifty, if you take a right onto Frontage Rd. (last light in sight and before the Bee Line ramp and airport) curve around to left and next light, then two very quick lefts onto the Bee Line there, you save even more on tolls. No exact change hassles.

Returning to Thrifty, I-4 to Bee Line then to exit 9 Tradeport. Left at bottom of ramp, cross under, nice gas station to top off right there. Now get into middle lane, required right onto McCoy, go to end of road and left onto Semoran and Thrifty is on the left.
