This report was mostly written for me and my family! It has a lot of detail, (ie: it's long!!) so I will remember what we did during our Magical trip!
Monday, March 22: Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, Planet Hollywood, DisneyQuest
Its Early Morning Hour at Animal Kingdom, but theres really no need for us to rush there since weve already done the safari ride on Saturday. We get there a little before 9:00 so we can get in before the off-site guests. I head to Tough to be a Bug to get a FP, while everyone else goes straight to Festival of the Lion King. When I get to FoLK, its already roped off!! The line is already queued full, but they let me in when I explain my family is already in there! Whew ... we were the last ones allowed in line! This is another amazing show! I love the music, the acrobatic monkeys, and the incredible strength of the singers!! We have excellent seats on the top of the bleachers in the Warthog section! This show makes you feel great when you walk out of it!! Were able to get another FastPass now, so Tim heads over to Dinosaur to get a FastPass, while we stop and visit with Lilo and Stitch!!. When Tim returns, we watch Its Tough To Be a Bug! This is so funny! The special effects are amazing!
I cant believe that were able to get another FastPass again already, so I head over to Asia to get one for Kali River Rapids. Then we go over to Dinosaur to use our FastPass. There is a slight problem with the ride, so even the FastPass line is long! It looks like it might be a while, but they are able to get us through in about 20 minutes! We really enjoy this ride and I saw the dinosaur at the end this time!!
We head over to Asia to ride Kali River Rapids! Why ride if you dont get wet?! I knew I was going to be jinxed when the man next to me spent so much time getting in a raincoat & full gear that they had to stop the ride! Of course, he and I were the first ones to get drenched! We all got wet but by now the sun was getting pretty warm, so it felt good!!
I found this park much more enjoyable than I have on our prior two visits I think its because we split it up into two different days, and we visited earlier in the week. It is a very pretty park, but it was time for us to move on! We took the bus back to Pop. After a quick lunch and some more planning, we decided to drive to Downtown Disney. We shopped, talked to some pin traders, and headed over for our 5:00 Priority Seating at Planet Hollywood. The food here was good, but very expensive! I dont think we would have eaten here if we didnt have two $25 gift certificates (part of our package) but you cant beat $50 off!! I loved the L.A. lasagna, and the kids' milkshakes were good! The service, however, was terrible! One of my kid spilled their water, and even after our server noticed the mess, it took forever to get some extra napkins to help clean it up - and they were tossed on the table as he walked by. We never did get any more dry napkins to use with our dinner, and the spilled water was never replaced!
We then went to DisneyQuest, which I thought the kids would really like. I was right! Pirates of the Caribbean was excellent, and the kids loved designing their own roller coaster! I might have been getting kinda tired, because I wasnt that impressed. It was fun, and I really should have given it more of a chance. Instead, Mom and I did a few of the activities, and then went up to the Cheesecake Factory for a piece of cheesecake. Yumm!!! It was delicious! The kids could have stayed for hours more, but we decided that we ought to get back to Pop around 10:00!! Tomorrow is EMH at MGM!!
