Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Evening all,

1. Earrings - another vote for earrings as it'd be a bit of a pain if you couldn't get earrings in pairs!

2. Glasses - if you didn't have a pair of glasses or sunglasses, you'd effectively have a monocle right?

3. Bluetooth headphones - can't live without these on a daily basis as I use them when exercising.

I thought about this as they are also a huge part of my exercise life. I just found myself conflicted because I've been using my "ear muff" styles ones lately for my morning walks since they give me music while keeping my ears warm. I use a set of AirPods for warmer days and at the gym, but can I call it a "pair" if it's the over ear style that's one piece? Life's great questions!

2. Socks -- I never go barefoot; so glad I have socks to keep my feet warm

His amazing Brain and tenacity to never give up on visions and ideas

Wonderful world of Disney the way he brought the building of his Parks to TV to include all of us in on it

The wonderful shows and movies in cartoons and ideas that he came up with for entertainment the many creative people that he brought into his circle to bring us such a wonderful entertainment

The Disney bubble - if you know you know

He valued time with his kids and wanted to provide a wholesome place for parents to play with their kids.

He had vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition.

He supported our armed forces.

This forum - While our posts of gratitude span a multitude of topics, I don't think any of us would be on the disboards and ultimately this subforum if it weren't for out love of things in existence because of Walt Disney.

The memories from the parks/resorts - Some of my fondest memories are tied to the parks and resorts inside the bubble(s). Disneyland doesn't have as much of a bubble vibe, but I'm still going to count it as you do feel a bit of a shift as you walk on property. So, more stuff we wouldn't have if it weren't for Walt.

The special events - I got a text from my parents last night, who just happened to be attending MVMCP for the first time. While they were here for Thanksgiving, we mapped out their food and cookie options and discussed the special things they bought to wear to the party. A different kind of magical, but yesterday, I found all of my runDisney event shirts and opted to wear my half marathon tech shirt to the gym. Aside from all of these gym regulars who see me 5-6 days a week getting to see 'yeah, she "runs" too" it got me thinking about how I'd like to do Wine & Dine after DD17 goes off to college. I've been for the Food & Wine Festival, which is another fun special event, but I'd really like to do those specific races. Again...things that we wouldn't have if it weren't for Walt.

Dad and I God willing enjoying a long awaited Disneyland return trip next year.

The simple joy of flying with Dumbo or riding on the Disneyland railroad. God willing one day I would love to view the Candlelight Processional again.
