Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Garage I don’t think we’ve done the garage yet have we???
I’m grateful for my three car garage ❤️❤️
It’s oversized in length it’s oversized in height I have plenty of room for my car in any projects I wanna work on and I’m very grateful for that if I need to work on something inside the house I have plenty of room in my garage to put things in the garage so I have space in the house to work on something
I’m grateful that I have room in my garage for a refrigerator
I absolutely love my garage!!!
I can’t wait to finish the walls painted and do the flooring!!

I'm going to pay homage to the least used room in our house that's about to get a little more love, since the holidays are almost upon us and this is its big time to shine...the Formal Dining Room :)

China Cabinet - To me, it's like my own grown up treasure chest. While I can't display my flatware in there because it would tarnish, I can pass by and admire all of the other pretty stuff, including the memories tied to some of the inherited pieces and gifts from family and friends that are no longer with us.

Table & Chairs - Ok, the chairs aren't the greatest, but I'll start with them because they get a festive holiday upgrade. Several years ago, I bought chair covers that are red with snowflakes. I have these really pretty pine garlands I put down the sides of the table that has all kinds of little pine cones and such that are battery operated and on a timer. So whenever those turn on, it really makes the chairs pop. Ultimately, I'm a huge fan of the table because it has its leaf built in. So, no storage required.

TV - Look, I know not everyone is a fan of tv while dining, but sometimes it's the holiday programming that helps set the mood and bring everyone together. Alternately, I can use the tv to play a Spotify holiday playlist. Either way, I got the tv as a 20th anniversary gift from work about 8 years ago and it's made the holidays in that room more fun. The tv does not get a ton of use but that's OK.

Evening all,

Rather than specific things from rooms, I'm just going with 3 other rooms that I'm grateful for and why.

1. Garage - I don't think garages in the UK are quite the same or as big as ones in the States (most houses are lucky to have a single garage, a lot of houses don't have garages at all). But I'm super grateful for my garage as it is my storage place for all of my tools and gardening equipment. It also has a fridge and freezer (taken from my old kitchen) which are really useful overflow storage especially when I'm storing lots of food for Christmas).

2. Hall - in previous houses I haven't had a separate hall but my current house does, and its useful to have as blocker/separate entrance rather than walking straight into the house. It also has a storage cupboard which is necessary for all of my coats and shoes...

3. Conservatory - I love this room in the warmer months as it's lovely and warm and great to sit in and read.

In general I'm just grateful for any storage areas in my house that I always seem to be able to fill 😂

I’m just going to pick one or two thing from each room since I am way behind.

Bedroom
My pile of Harry Potter books on my bed that I keep re-reading, in order, as a way to help me fall asleep.
Kitchen
Smallest room in the house, but it’s easy to keep clean! Love my very large cabinets and my radio on the counter (just like my mom always had)
Living room
My adjustable chair that can help me stand up without hurting my back if I need it.
My dining room, which is really part of the living room. We have never used it as a dining room (we eat dinner in the living room in front of the TV, and yes I know that isn’t healthy or whatever, we just always have) Anyhow, currently my dining room table is being used as an arts and crafts table for my granddaughter.

I'm going with the finished basement (actually two separate rooms). -

Grateful that it provides a home office for DH.

Which also a second television.

And the other room has storage shelves and our treadmill - which I am very grateful for because it's so much more convenient than going to the gym.

Good Thursday Morning Friends

When I think of fun foods, i immediately think of food items that are terrible for me to eat, but still eat them anyway :rotfl:

#1 - FOR BREAKFAST - PANCAKES - I love love love pancakes! I can eat an embarrassing amount of them. I do consider these fun because I don’t eat them often and when I do I get a huge serotonin boost, especially if I have different flavored syrups to go with them.

#2 - FOR LUNCH - FLAVORED SUGAR FREE APPLESAUCES - I just love them and find them very fun. I always enjoy choosing which one I will enjoy with my lunch each day. Luckily, this isn’t a bad food for me to eat.

#3 - FOR DINNER - TOSTADAS - I find tostadas fun, because I enjoy the challenge of eating them without them breaking. I will always choose to eat a tostada over a taco. Now I’m craving tostadas - LOL!
