Three Things...Gratitude Thread

This is difficult as I really enjoy reading and there are SO MANY great books out there.
1.The Walk by Richard Paul Evans. This 5 book series was excellent. I recommend all his books. They always leave you with hope.
2. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. He has a few good books.
3. Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott
4. The Outsiders

And so many more waiting to be discovered....

So today's other topic (Sun, 9/7) is 3 things your grateful for about your grandparents

3 Books 📕
I couldn’t possibly possibly pick just three

Kingdom keepers
Harry Potter it just amazes me how she wrote those absolutely misses me
DISNEY war in each one of the books on Michael Eisner Bob Iger Walt DISNEY I feel like I’m forgetting one of them but I read each book about each leader of Disney and then the book about Disney Wars it was very interesting
Hotel Rwanda I’m sorry but I cannot do this man’s name but the man that ran the hotel he wrote a book I went and heard him speak in person and he signed my book mesmerizing such a great speaker but he wrote a book about his experience very moving
Anything and everything that Mr. Stephen King cares to write there is hardly ever been a book that he has not wrote that I did not love and have not read multiple times is my all-time favorite author and has been since I was about 10 years old and I am no spring chicken 🤣🤣🤣

Happy Sunday Friends

I had such wonderful grandparents ❤️

#1 - TOUGH LOVE - My grandma gave me tough love and she is the main person that molded me into who I am today, and I am forever grateful to her for that.

#2 - TRAVEL - My grandparents were the first people to take me on an airplane when I was in 3rd grade. My grandma took me on my first cruise and took me to Hawaii.

#3 - FUN MOMENTS - My grandma and I had more movie, lunch & shopping days than I can tell you - so many! My grandpa and I rode bikes, flew kites, played pool & ping pong and other things.

I have the best memories with both of them. They have given me a great example of how grandparents should be, and I hope I can be as wonderful of a grandparent to my grandchildren one day like they were to me.

Evening all!

So grandparents:

1. Afternoon tea break and cake - one thing my grandparents couldn't live without is a tea break every afternoon which usually involved cake too. It'd get close to 3pm and no matter where they were, they were insistent on a hot drink and sweet treat. While I dont do this every day, it's something I've grown to love while I'm out and about.

2. New Years Day - when i was a kid, we always used to spend New Years Day at my grandparents, and I'm so grateful for all the fond memories I have of these day. They really were the best times.

3. Puzzles - my grandparents had a love of puzzles, especially wordsearches and the random variety you find in a magazine, and this is something I still enjoy doing to this day. Love a good puzzle.

So ..my great grandfather is driving down a 1940s New York country road and there along side the road is a disabled vehicle full of clock parts and 2 boys...cydus yola and moshoppoulos yola .my grandfather toes them to his property and gives them lodging and help with the vehicle.... so great full where the two boys.... they took the last name of my great grandfather.... and the rest is history... that's my grateful story....as they have never shared the history of their stage name
