TGIF Friends

#1 - Fritos Honey BBQ Twists - one of my favorites and I can eat my weight in them. I only eat a few on the weekend with my lunch, because if I didn’t do that, I go throw a bag a week - LOL!

#2 - Twisted Bully Sticks - they help keep my puppy busy for awhile, which is good because he’s a very very very, very busy puppy (who’s 11 months old today )

#3 - Spiraled Notebook - I use one at work every day.

Rope - shocking how many times I need a piece of rope

Rings - My engagement ring and wedding band were made from the same mold. They have a twisted rope relief pattern on the front and back side of the band.

Soft pretzels - I am a huge fan of soft pretzels. Probably my favorite twisted food! As a treat, I sometimes buy boxes of SuperPretzel or the Kroger soft pretzel twist sticks. It also reminds me of this pretzel bakery in PA that we periodically visited where you got to go on the factor tour and then were taught how to make a pretzel with all of the proper twists.

Rotini - It's a really good shape for grabbing "stuff." Ya know, pasta with purpose. It's the backbone of my shrimp and feta pasta salad. Although, the Trottole shape as well as Fusilli and Radiatore are also a good one for holding stuff. I even sometimes would use that on mac and cheese.

Honorable mention - Kohr's Twisted Cones - This was always a treat whenever we'd go to the boardwalks in NJ. I'd often get the orange/vanilla twist because it seemed to be the traditional, but if it was a good day and they had flavors going other than vanilla/chocolate, I might get lucky and have something like mint or raspberry twist.

I'll agree with soft pretzels, especially if it's the Jalapeno Pretzel they used to have in Animal Kingdom.

Soft serve ice cream twist cones, especially those served on a Disney cruise ship pool deck.

Twisty water slides at any water park or cruise ship deck.

Yes, I love it! I am rarely close enough to use the photo feature, very tall trees in my neighborhood, but I walk around holding out my iPhone in the direction of the sounds. I must look like a Star Trek TNG character with a tricorder!

LOL, I know the exact Star Trek method you're talking about. Just wanted to share...I tried it this morning and (at least on my phone) it seems to be super sensitive. Rather than going outside and holding my phone out, I sat in my family room and hit record as soon as I could hear some birds outside. I didn't hold it in that direction or anything. It was just sitting on my coffee table. It picked up the sound and identified the bird almost instantly. I'm pretty certain it's correct as this is what likes to nest in my breezeway each year and they often stick to the trees nearby. In any event, you might be able to take a more relaxed approach when recording
for your IDs.

I'm going with Eleanor Roosevelt:

She expanded the role of first lady from ceremonial hostess to active participant in causes.

She helped to write the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

She gave us many inspiring quotes (ex: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.") and I've collected quotes since I was a teen.

Jacqueline Kennedy such style and grace she redecorated the White House she was a wonderful diplomat a great addition to her husband and she really showed strength beyond imagine dealing with the horrible tragedy that she had to go through

Betty Ford she was a huge front runner for women’s rights she was very open about her struggles in a time when you just didn’t do those kind of things she was an advocate about breast cancer and she was very open with her struggles on addiction she was a trendsetter back when you didn’t have trendsetter

Edith Wilson - she literally did her husband’s job when he was too sick to do it but made it look like he was doing it

A couple others that are very supportive of their husbands and did have influence in their decisions and help Michelle Obama Hillary Clinton Eleanor Roosevelt Laura Bush all of these women have accomplished many great things and they all made the position a more modern position but I think a lot of it all started with Eleanor Roosevelt just my opinion but because of her husband’s disability that he had from the public she did a lot more traveling because he couldn’t do it and he was also very busy handling the war but she advocated for a lot of people trying to get her husband to do things to help these people

Rosalyn Carter, I just learned from Google, was an advocate for mental health resources.

Also via Google, Hillary Clinton working to give kid's more healthcare options.

There was a Baby-sitter's Club Little Sister book called Karen's President. Part of that story was 7-year-old Karen learning about some First Ladies. I'll have to reread it when I get home. I do still have a copy.

First Ladies- Not going to do a lot of research here, unless wracking my own brain counts!!

She represented the country while facing her personal tragedy, including having 2 little children to help rise from this this.

>Hillary Clinton- For her outstanding intelligence, leadership, and dedication to this country, not only as First Lady but also as Secretary of State. She stood firm and tall during the public revelation of her husband's infidelity as well as all the misguided, unfounded crap thrown her way during her tenure as Secretary of State and during her presidential campaign. She was a leading voice in health care and family/childrens rights.

Michelle Obama- Educated, brilliant, strong in her personal life and family values. She took on the challenges of advocating for poverty awareness, education, nutrition, physical activity, and healthy eating. I feel like Michelle Obama is the voice of the future for women in this country.

BTW did anyone watch the TV special about the first ladies it was like a TV series?? I found it very interesting they covered Eleanor Roosevelt and Michelle Obama and Betty Ford it was really I thought very interesting and gave a little bit more insight into their lives and happenings while they were first ladies I read books on all three but I did find out some things I had not previously known I believe it’s streaming I thought on Hulu or streaming on one of those channels but it was very interesting

Agree with so many of these choices! I will try to think of some others.

Dolley Madison came to mind, for saving the Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington when the White House was set on fire. (Although in just reading about it, I discovered that she had a slave do it!) Anyhow, she was the first WH resident to host social events that included both political parties, ushering in the idea of bipartisanship. (sigh)

I liked Jill Biden because she was a teacher and continued teaching even while she was First Lady.

Abigail Adams: loved her letters to her husband that reminded him to remember the ladies when forming our government. She was ahead of her time.

Gummy Bears yum I have a serious problem with them - i can eat my weight in one sitting !!! Love those squishy little candies !!! All kinds of flavors !!!
they are so cute to - they are a fun treat !!!
They bring back fond memories of giving them to my kids when they were little!!

Gummy Snacks - you can get just about anything now shaped like anything you want that’s a gummy but I personally like the little bears you can get them you can get them sour fruit flavored alcohol flavored all different kinds I personally do not do the CBD ones but the people who do no judgment here absolutely love Gummy Bear so grateful for that invention

As a general rule I don’t like squishy foods but this is my one exception!!
