Three Things...Gratitude Thread

The holes in the little plastic tops on my spices that control how much comes out of the bottle

The holes in the wands of old-fashioned bubbles

The holes in many of my DGD’s favorite toys and even hair ties, which she makes into bracelets. Current activity with holes that she enjoys is lacing cards. We also use a hole puncher to make our own.

Octopus- they are fascinating creatures! They also taste pretty good when grilled, which is one of the things I've sadly give up, in respect to their intelligence and recognizing that there isn't a need for me to consume them.

Ocean... my happy place. I am not a big beach-goer, but I love to walk along the ocean. Whether it's calm and sunny, and I can see forever, or fierce and stormy, the majesty and power of the ocean seems to restore my soul. In 3 weeks from today, we will be heading off for a week at an oceanside cottage- can't wait!

Omelettes- Whether plain and simple, full of veggies and meat, or oozing cheese, an omelette could be my breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime!

Happy Saturday Friends! :yay:

#1 - My Last Name - I’m very proud of the family I married into 29 years ago. My maiden name is also an O, so my monogram didn’t change when I got married.

#2 - October - My birthday month (it’s gonna be here soon). I’m always grateful when October comes, because that means that God has blessed me with completing another year of life. On my birthday I pray that God blesses me with another year, but if that is not in his life plan for me, than I pray that he blesses me with an eternal place with him in heaven. Wherever I am, at my next birthday, I am blessed.

#3 - Optimistic - That’s me, almost always and I’m grateful for that.

🤣🤣 when I read octopus I thought you meant eating them I thought yeah they’re delicious🤣🤣🤣

Oven - I like baking grateful to have an oven

Opportunities - grateful for any and all that come my way !!!

Oceans - with Oceans that are beautiful to begin with you get cruises which take you to far away lands and countries which is an awesome experience but you also get my beloved BEACHES 🏖️🏝️🌊 because with oceans you have beaches you may have rocky beaches in Maine or you may have Sandy beaches like in Florida but you still get beaches and you have to have oceans or else are the fish gonna live?? I mean the big fish not the little fish 🐟 🐠🐡🐳🐋🐬🦈 🦞 with oceans we get seafood 🍣 🐟🦀🐙🍣🦞🦐🍤

Hahaha on the octopus! I actually love char-grilled octopus but try not to eat it. I am all in on other ocean creatures (can you say clams, scallops, shrimp, lobster, haddock, swordfish, oysters...) but octopus are just so damned smart and interesting!

Oceans - I have seen a few votes for this one. Going on summer vacations to Cannon Beach, OR for 30+ years. Next up for us, visiting in winter time to experience the King tides

The objects that look like O's - the tires on our fun cars. My Lexus. DS19 just bought with his own $ a 1989 Honda Civic Si Hatchback. Customizing it like all young adults do these days. The loudness of the exhaust is not too bad.

October - saw this a number of times as well. DW and I were just talking about this today. When the weather starts to change and you can smell the crispness in the air. Kinda like the smell of POTC. Just can't get enough of it.

I’m behind…living on Disney time a couple of hours outside of my time zone.

Things with holes…
Straws-Collanders-A/C vents

Things with O
Orange County- it’s been our home away from home for over a week
Oddities- Things that are different keep us curious and learning
Oxygen- kind of necessary

Good Sunday Morning

There’s so many places, that it’s hard to narrow it down to 3.

#1 - WDW - I’m very grateful to my parents for starting my love for WDW in 1976 when I was 5 years old. I’m very grateful that we were able to take our girls since they were babies. I’m very grateful that we can continue to afford to go now. We aren’t wealthy people, I work a little second job to help fund our vacations and I’m pretty good at planning and budgeting for our trips. When many people say that WDW stresses them out, I’m just the opposite - it relaxes me and it truly is one of my happy places.

#2 - Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral/Melbourne FL area - I’m very grateful that DD20s college team played in this area the last two years. We have fallen in love with this area - we love everything about it, to the point that I can see us retiring in this area, or at least spending a few winter months there. If it wasn’t for DD’s tournaments, we probably would have never spent a lot of time there to know how much we love it.

#3 - Hawaii - I’m very grateful that my grandma took me there when I was 15yrs old. I remember so much of that trip like yesterday. We took a lot of tours that I enjoyed and spending time with my grandma was wonderful. I hope that I can return with my DH one day.
