Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Catching up after vacation - I loved reading through everyone's grateful things!

Cold things:

Rolled ice cream - we discovered this on vacation one year and try to find it when we're out and about sometimes!
Air conditioning - so grateful, especially in this summer heat!
Ice for my drinks - for some reason, I keep the drink itself room temperature and love pouring it over a glass filled with ice!

Good Tuesday Morning

#1 - My New Balance running shoes - I’m not a runner anymore, but I am a walker. These shoes are the best and I’m grateful to have them. I’ll be putting them on in about 10 minutes.

#2 - My cosmetic jewelry - I have a lot of fine jewelry pieces, but I’m focusing on the cosmetic jewelry. I love to accessorize and I get a lot of compliments from our patients about my jewelry. I love buying new & fun things to wear. Some of my favorite things, I found on clearance, and they cost me under $5.00

#3 - My Jean jacket - This is one of my most absolute favorite things in my closet. I’ve had this jacket for about 20 years and it’s so perfectly broken in. One time DD20 asked if she could borrow it :scared1: and I said no way, but I’ll buy you your own, and that’s what I did - no one else besides me is wearing that jacket - I’m very possessive of it - LOL!

Happy Tuesday everyone :)

Blessing of having clean clothing period.

My fuzzy pink cocoa print pajamas bring me a smile and have also helped me through my recovery from feet trouble.

God willing when I am fully recovered I will get to wear a brand new pair of Easy Spirit sneakers.

Dad recently called my tie dye t shirt, a happy shirt and it is. I told him weather depending, I will wear it come the miraculous day that I am able to go out normally :)

It's not "fashion" but I have new shoe inserts that really help with my pronation. My ankles don't hurt the whole time now!

My sparkle crocs! I have two pairs, one silver sparkles and one gold sparkles. I love them!

My DNA earrings. They are heavy silver, double helix, about 2" long. Science geek here, I love them. I teach chem labs but I am a bio-girl, as are most of my students, so I get lots of compliments when I wear them.

My sloth sweater. It's navy blue with a little metalic thread in it. There's a fuzzy sloth on the front, hanging from a rope that has spangles on it. It's soft and just shiny enough to make me smile, and I got it on clearance for $7!!

I am the queen of comfy clothes! I haven’t thought about fashion since I was in 8th grade :)

My latest addition to comfort is a pair of Hoka shoes/sneakers that I bought to break in for our November trip to WDW. I am in love with these shoes!! Luckily, I had some amazon gift cards from my birthday because they are pricey, but so worth it.

Sweatpants and Tshirts in the house, capris or jeans, and cotton or flannel shirts when outside. I got in the habit of buying button down shirts for work because I wore a lanyard and didn’t want to feel it on my neck. (Sensory issues)

My compression socks. They may appear to be uncomfortable, but I love them.
