Three Things...Gratitude Thread

ok @newski_mom, I freely admit when I am clueless here on the boards and this is one of them. Here in the PNW we are big on the sourdough rounds for clam chowder and some other dips but not Rye rounds and dill. But remember I am a guy and may not be really observant when doing the grocery shopping.

I will do some more research and give this a go!

I'm from the midwest and I would love your sourdough rounds with clam chowder!!

Today's Topic (Sat, 12/2) - 3 things you're grateful for that smell nice

I would sneeze because of many things mentioned here. However these things I enjoy and am grateful for!

Oranges
Baked Apples in the oven
Hyacinths

Fresh air is a blessing indeed! I admit to not being a candle person except on Christmas Eve at worship service.

I meant to share in this lovely thread earlier that through tomorrow Target Circle has an offer for 10% off Target Store Gift Cards. Dad and I purchased two as Christmas gifts online so they can be bought on Target.com just know it could take a bit to come. Target said ours will come by December 13th.

Sweet Dreams friends with love.

Good Sunday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for my GREEN Christmas trees - I love everything about them.

#2 - I’m grateful for getting the GREEN light when driving, especially in the morning - I always feel like the day starts off good when I get only green lights driving to work.

#3 - I’m grateful for GREEN cash - I try to always carry cash with me and every time I use it, I’m very grateful for it. I try to pay for every thing $10 or less with cash and I like giving servers a cash tip.

Green Grass - I really like a lush green lawn I don’t have one because I have a dog I will never have one unless I get rid of the dog and that’s not gonna happen no matter what I do to the grass whatever my dog does overrides it so I just gave up plus I have the pesky deer 🦌 and they do plenty in my yard they’re constantly making ruts with their little hoofs So I’m happy if I have any grass at all !! The weed do just fine - nothing kills them ! At least they’re green!

Blue spruce - my most favorite evergreen trees 🌲 I could plan a forest of those in my yard are my favorite trees❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲

I’m gonna say cash - it’s something you never have enough of !! It’s very elusive it’s slippery it’s almost falling through your fingers it’s hard to hold onto I think they must grease it that’s why you can never keep a grasp it on it - DISNEY seems to have found a way to part you from it make you feel happy about doing it !!

*sneaks in and waves* Hi. I'm Allison Joy.... ;)

Yes, I'm still here, and still alive. I'll just do a few random ones since it's been literal weeks since I've actually posted here.

Thanksgiving/Gratitude Traditions combined (kind of)
1. I love the Thanksgiving service at my church, which I'm sure I've mentioned here before. It's actually on Thanksgiving morning, and it's one hour of spontaneous short testimonies and hymns by request. It is, hands down, my favorite service of the entire year. We have some "traditions" within the service, and we never hit all of them, but we always hit some of them. This year, it was kids requesting Christmas songs, and signing "Jesus Loves Me."
2. The Thanksgiving meal in general. We don't really have any traditions (with the meal or otherwise) and we've even done meat other than turkey or ham). I just love the meal in general.
3. And... only two, because of the lack of Thanksgiving traditions mentioned above. ;)

(Sun, 11/26) - 3 things in nature you're grateful for
1. Mountains
2. The sounds of nature
3. Animals

(Sun, 12/3) - 3 green things you're grateful for
1. Trees
2. Grass
3. Kermit the Frog

1. I'm going to agree with the green Christmas trees!
2. I've never had many green clothes, but this year I got a green blouse, and enjoyed wearing it on St Patrick's Day!
3. i'll also go with the green grass. DH manages the turf department at the company we both work for, so we have a beautiful yard and I do enjoy it!

Extra grateful green things: dollars to be blessed to have in general and to be able to use for necessities and most meaningfully in some way of faithful service to the Lord. Dad and I have a green water cup and couch pillow. Green in general brings to my mind Easter and Spring--rebirth literally through my faith and all fresh green life outdoors growing, too.

Dad postcard surprise update. Do any of you live in or know anyone who lives in the following states: Idaho, Montana, or New Jersey? If YES, please PM me asap! I have extra blank postcards from each of these states. I would love someone living in them to PM/email (I would give you my email address to give a non Disboard member if needed) me a message for my dad that I could print out and paste onto the postcard. No snail mail required. Thank you so very much. Please let me know by the end of this coming week. God Bless You.

Glad that I like the color green because I have come home from Costco thinking I bought a brown type shirt but it is actually green. Not totally color blind, just can't tell the diff between the two. 🙃

The Boston Celtic green - Larry Bird was my grandpa's favorite player along with me. I was able to tuck one of Birds basketball cards in his casket.

The Green Monster in Fenway Park. Traveled from WA in 2017 with my son for our first visit to Boston. Had seats atop the Monster, singing along with everyone else to Sweet Caroline. Amazing!
