Three Things...Gratitude Thread

The yellow rose bush I have in my backyard. I can see it from my kitchen window, and it reminds me both of the person who gave it me, and the person they sent it in honor of.

A favorite yellow T-shirt that says "This is my happy place" and reminds me that we carry our happy with us wherever we go.

And another vote for the iconic yellow smile face!! 😎😀🙂😊😍

Good SUNDAY Morning!

I have so many pretty pink things from my girls little girl days that I saved. Hopefully I’ll have a granddaughter someday that can enjoy them.

#1 - I’m grateful for all my pink flamingos on our pool deck - I love flamingos and my DH and DD19 enjoy buying me them for Mother’s Day.

#2 - I’m grateful for the new type of pink flowers I planted this year - I took a chance buying them and I‘m already looking forward to buying them again next year, and more of them.

#3 - I’m grateful for the pink (dusty pink) Girls Only Trip shirts that I bought for DD19 and I to wear on our WDW trip - we wore them on our MK Day and I love how they look in our pictures - such great memories with those shirts.

Yellow:
1. A bouquet of sunflowers my neighbor sent over last week. They are just about done, but so pretty.
2. Daffodils: a bright spot in the during the spring
3. Forsythia: another bight spot in spring

Pink:
1. Peonies—my favorite flower and most of mine are pink or white with a hint of pink
2. A pink zip-up that I like wearing in the colder months
3. Earring my daughter got me for Christmas last year that have pink flowers on them.

Good Morning :grouphug:

I love all the happy yellow shares, thank you kind friends. PollyannaMom, I LOVE your T shirt and outlook on it!

Pink has always been my very favorite color. In a way, green has been as well but in a different way. Pink!

Pink in God's sky every new morning and extra at Easter reminds me always of His Presence and Love in my life and how beyond blessed I am to I pray live for and with Him.

Minty my childhood stuffed animal🐇who I still have as been a loyal friend for so many, many years.
Light pink, still budding carnations are my very favorite🌸
Memories of my beloved late grandma Dolores sewing pink felt sleeping bags out of love for me for my playmobile kids!
Kiddos at church camps liked pink lemonade because it is sweeter than regular lemonade.

Yellow
My favorite childhood sunhat!
My early childhood bedroom had yellow walls, maybe that's why it's one of my favorite colors.
Banana popsicles (I've never used the word popsicle before; it has a nice ring! ) I used to make a homemade version to keep me going while studying for my A'levels (high school leaving exams).

Pink
I second @flyingdumbo127 with pink skies. :cloud9:
Strawberry smoothies go a lovely shade of pink.
The pink pavement at WDW!

Catching up on threads, always love reading this one, makes me smile so much

Yellow thing I'm grateful for:
Mama's many yellow daylilies. Her gardens full of daylilies were magnificent. She had hundreds of different varieties, and would order new ones every year from her favorite sellers

One of the colors for LSU, well technically they're purple and gold, but I'm counting it here

Yellow pants----a VERY funny episode of one our family's favorite shows: The MIddle. If you've never watched that series, give it a try. Yellow pants were part of a Mother's Day episode where none of the kids remember what their mom asked for for Mother's day

Yellow...
My paper flower bouquet. As you probably remember, I have been laid up most of the summer due to knee replacement surgery. My sister sent me a 3-D pop up flower bouquet of yellow daffodils. It's beautiful, has lasted all summer (as it's paper), and makes me smile every time I look at it.

DH's yellow stuffed dinosaur. DD gave it to him when she was little, when he had to go to the hospital. He still has it on his bureau, and every time I see it my heart is warmed.

Lemons... and all the wonderful things you can make with them!

Pink...
Pointe shoes. I used to take ballet, and DD has been a dedicated dancer since the age of 10. During high school and college she spent at least 4 hours in the dance studio each day, and usually 6 on weekends when they were in rehearsals. She has also been hired by local dance companies as a soloist, guest artist, and choreographer, and works part-time teaching dance. When I look at the big bag of worn, discarded pointe shoes, I remember it all. The fun, the friends, the dedication, talent, blood, sweat, tears, failures and achievements. Mostly I remember the closeness of loving the same thing, sharing the road trips, and just how much love we share through ballet.

My favorite old, ratty sweatshirt is pink. You know the sweatshirt I mean. Y'all have one, even if it's a sweater, even if it isn't pink!

Pink peppermint stick ice cream- my very favorite flavor of ice cream!

3 pink things you're grateful for

Our insides are pink. I watched a camera when it was inside my bladder once. That was my best takeaway, how pink I was inside!

I especially liked the color pink as I was growing up. My high school yearbook has “pink, pink, pink” as one of the descriptions under my name. That may have changed, but here’s a nod to my ( much) younger self.

Pink flowers, especially Pink Coneflowers, a beautiful native plant.

Pink:

1. Pink is my niece's favorite color! She had on a hot pink shirt and had a matching phone case on her phone this morning at church.

2. PInk flowers - so pretty and pick-me-up during the summer

3. When they were little both of my DDs had a pink Christmas tree in their bedrooms during the Christmas season. They were so cute!
