Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Photos:
1. We have a very large framed wedding photo of me and DH. Our first home had a 2 story stairwell and it was perfect for that spot. We’ve been in this home for 22 years and there isn’t a perfect spot but it hangs at the end of the hallway.
2. Pictures of my girls when the were little. I so enjoy looking at their cute little faces.
3. Pictures of grandparents no longer with us.

Good Morning!

I could go on and on about all the photos I love.
I’ll narrow it down to the ones hanging in my house.

#1 - I’m grateful for the grouping of wedding pictures in one frame - Our wedding photo, both our parents wedding photo, both our grandparents wedding photo - 5 photos total.

#2 - I’m grateful for the professional photo of my Sophie dog (RIP) when she was 3 months with my girls when they were 5 & 10 - it’s adorable. There used to be a professional animal photographer that would go to local Humane Societies and part of the proceeds went to the Humane Society - they were great!

#3 - I’m grateful for our 2 DCL pictures from the 2 formal nights - this was such a fun time, especially for DD25 who was 9yrs old at the time. Seems like yesterday, but yet forever ago.

Pics

1. My dad made a collage of pretty much the worst pics of DSis and I growing up. Became a family joke how bad it was.

2. Portait of me when I was about 2.5. DD couldn't tell if it was me or her. She's was and is my mini me.

3. Coolest is pic of my dad with King Hussein of Jordan (at the time) and the military trucks with armed guards. All declassified now of course, but it put in perspective the things my dad must have been doing in the military.

TGIF DIS Friends! :cool1:

I’m grateful for gratefulness :goodvibes

#1 - I’m grateful for my grabber thing - I’m sure it has an actual name, but I call it my grabber thing - it helps me grab stuff I dropped in hard to reach areas.

#2 - I’m grateful for my grandparents (RIP) - they taught me so much - I contribute how I am today because of my grandparents.

#3 - I’m grateful for groceries - every time I come home from the grocery store and see all the things I bought, I always think how blessed we are to be able to buy groceries/food.

Happy Friday!! Yes, to TGIF and the weekend! We’re headed out today for a beach trip with family for the 4th. So feeling grateful for

- Grandmothers! My mom will join us on this trip, and she is a wonderful Grandmother to her four grandkids. We’re excited for family time with her! I’m grateful they all have a special relationship with her. I am also grateful for my grandmothers and great-grandmother, who I was lucky enough to know and have a relationship with before her dementia kicked in.

- Green, a favorite color of mine! Grateful for the green plants I see outside my windows. Grateful the rain came, and the plants are flourishing.

- Ground coffee. Grateful it’s ready to go in the morning, and I don’t have to grind it!

GR
I’ll go with grandparents, mine and the wonderful experience of being a grandmother. My oldest is 20, youngest 8.

Graham crackers, especially dark chocolate covered, especially from Fralingers!

Graphing…I have been a math teacher and students seemed to like the chapters on graphing. This is coming from someone who does enjoy graphing and statistics.:teacher:

Very grateful for my friend Michele, who gifted me with this shirt. Lots of people have shared smiles with me.

3 things you're grateful for that start with GR

So many GReat answers already ! All of you know I completely agree with Grandparents, Grace, Green, Greeting Cards, and Groups of Friends for sure!

Gratitude! To God for each moment especially to be able I pray to be witness and service kindly.
Graham Crackers and Golden Grahams (a variation :D) for memories of my Champ.
Granola Cereal that my dad
enjoys.
Grassroots efforts to spread faith and kind cheer.

Gr... that's a tough one.

Gravy. We love gravy in my family. An ex-BIL said, we need to remember that gravy is a condiment, not a beverage!

Grits. Strange answer from a New England girl, but my youngest sister, Sally, transplanted herself to NOLA decades ago. I visit as often as I can, and have learned to appreciate grits... especially cheddar-cheesy grits and shrimp-n-grits!

Grocery stores. I love to grocery shop, even when I'm not buying. When we go visiting relatives or on vacation and have a kitchen, it's always fun to shop in chains we don't have here in New England, to see different products and such.

All my answers relate to food. What does that say?????

A grin to share, I love to laugh and usually wander with a grin for a while afterwards like ELF.

Small thing but arthritis sometimes makes holding things very painful so I am grateful to grip things right now.

Great AC system keeping the horribly smokey smog out of the house in PA right now, for Pete's sake it's bad.
