Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Ralph Huttick: Childhood Bully that inadvertently taught me how to be strong and to believe in myself, how to not care what others think and most importantly, how to take a punch
Father: taught me what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Thusly making me a mentally tough person who doesn't allow anything to bother him. Punch me in the face, still alive; call me names, still alive; steal my money, still alive. The only thing that will stop me is death. Thanks Dad
Clint Eastwood: Taught me that you can back another man down with silence, confidence and an icy cool stare.

Happy Pi Day!! There are actually a ton of "holidays" today:
https://nationaltoday.com/what-is-today/
so check out the site and tell us whichever one(s) you're grateful for :) ~

Today's Topic (Tues 3/14) - 3 Random March 14th Holiday Things You're Grateful For

It's Pi Day (3.14) and I'm grateful for the celebration of mathematics in schools and homes. I think it's important to show kids the fun side of numbers!

It's Albert Einstein's Birthday and Celebrate Scientists Day and I'm grateful for all the scientists who have shared their sense of wonder and the discoveries it brought.

It's National Children's Craft Day and I'm grateful for all the fun projects I used to do with DS when he was little (some of which I still hang up at holidays.)

Ooh Save a Spider Day!! ❤️❤ Found my theme ! Ah nope ! yeah for my shoes !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ah nope !! I have wood spiders - big harry ugly things by the dozens ! I hate spiders - yes I’m well aware what they are suppose to do but I have a ton of wasp too !! It’s like bug nirvana around here !! I’m sure and I do mean this that there are people who love spiders - I respect your views but please don’t be mad at be the volume I have in all seriousness is huge and I’m barely putting a dent in it ! I had 32 in one night - not kidding those wood spiders multiply like rabbits !!

Equal Pay - great idea with employers would start implementing this - better than it used to be but sadly still not there - working in Accounting doing payroll for almost 40 years at various companies sone corporate America I can say this with first hand knowledge - very sad in this day & age we are still having this conversation

Celebrate Scientist - always !! Where would we be without them ??? I treasure & value their great minds that figure out and try and solve our problems !!!

Ask A Question Day !! - Great way for You to gain knowledge ! Keep asking questions ! Shows so much ! Caring - how are you ? Can I help ? Asking questions are a wonderful tool for getting to know people and forming bonds !! How else are you going to know if you share common values ?

Who knew there were so many "holidays" for today!

1. Pi Day - when my kids were in school, their community based club always hosted a 5k today to raise money for the projects they did around town.
2. International day of mathematics - Math has always been my favorite subject!
3. National Organize your home office day - mine really needs organizing lol!

All I've got is that people enjoy all the pies made on pi day & jokes so 3.14 jokes

1) Come to the nerd side. We have pi.
2) What do you get when you cut a jack-o’-lantern by its diameter? Pumpkin pi.
3) What is the official animal of Pi Day? The pi-thon.
-- 3.14) What do you get when you...

Good Morning, everyone. I also am so thankful for this kind and fun daily thread. Thank you all for keeping it going and extra hug and thanks to PollyannaMom for starting it.

I never knew today had so many holidays either! I will have to Google. Love the shares so far especially Eksmama's reminder to share oue stories. Indeed we each have our own unique story to tell and can bless someone else with by sharing. Amen indeed to women making a difference in science and pi makes me think of pie, which dad enjoys. I do have sweet chocolate pie memories. I'll add more later after checking out Google. Have a creative and sweet Tuesday, friends.

Ha ha I’ve enjoyed nothing but junk today - let’s just say today has not gone smoothly so I polished off my M&Ms and then just moved on to any other junk I could find - I threw in some milk to keep it wholesome 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m thinking I’ll have toast for dinner with a slab of peanut butter !

That's my go to dinner, too! Sidenote and so bad for you, but my grandfather used to sprinkle sugar on his pb toast...now THAT is a treat. Of course his brother, my great uncle used to dip my pacifier in sugar :rolleyes1
