Three Things...Gratitude Thread

W things I’m grateful for:

Water - I drink lots of it and use it to brew my precious coffee every day.

Washer - I love our washer. It is large capacity and does an excellent job.

Weather - While I don’t love our winter weather here in Ohio, those cold, wintry days make me appreciate the warmer days more. I definitely don’t take them for granted!

So, as well as Walt Disney World and Windows and Water

Wales, a fabulous little country with beautiful green scenery and gorgeous coastlines. (Please note it is not in England! It is next to England as part of UK!:rotfl: :rotfl:)

Walking I love the feel of a good-paced walk and if it's in fresh air and nature, all the better.

Why? I'm a big fan of questioning things!!!!

Walter was my Dad’s name, my grandfather’s name, a son’s middle name, a cousin’s name and now a Grandson’s name. Yes, and Walt Disney’s too! I am grateful to all of them. They have all enriched my life.

The Women in my life. From my mom, sister, aunts, cousins, grandmothers, teachers, Girl Scout leaders, mothers of my friends, to my women friends, you are dear to me, and you are diverse and have added to my life experiences is a very rich way.

Winters have not been my favorite seasons, but I am a winter baby. My mom barely made it to the hospital, I was born right after a winter blizzard. I was a teacher and so, we had many family winter vacations to skiing country. I was never a good skier, but watching our sons come down the mountains gave me a thrill and I can still see them in my mind. Nature needs winters to rest, to kill off mosquitoes and snowflakes are pretty spectacular! Capricorn is a winter sign, and my mother, three of my grandchildren and one grandmother were or are Capricorns. So, I have connections with winter, and grateful for them.

Today's Topic (Mon 3/13) - 3 Supportive People You're Grateful For

Good Monday Morning!
DD19’s games are delayed due to storm, which gives me a little extra time.

#1 - I’m grateful for my DH who has always supported me since we’ve been 16yrs old. When I wanted to open my store in 2007, he was all in, never hesitated and did everything he could to help. We didn’t take out a single loan and used all our own money, which was a lot to do a complete build out - our spot was an empty shell in a new strip mall. We were only open for 5 years, and the financial hit we took was a lot, but he never complained - I’ll be forever grateful ❤️

#2 - I’m grateful for my mom and my grandma (RIP) - both ladies always made me feel like I can do whatever I set my mind too.

#3 - I’m grateful for my inlaws who have always been supportive of the decisions my DH and I make - they never belittle us or make us feel like they don’t approve of something.

1. My husband...he tells me I'm beautiful and smart everyday-and sometimes a person just needs to hear that lol
2. My coworker that I share an office with-we get through some tough days together, and it's good to have someone who has the same goals as me for our department
3. My three closest friends-we have a group chat and just build each other up when we need it, have very open and honest discussions about everything, and make each other laugh daily

Supportive People

1.DH. I've posted about him several times, but he always sees the good inme when I can't even for myself.
2. No longer living, but all of my grandparents. They loved my sister and me so much and gave us lots of opportunities through the money they gave us for college over the years.
3. My parents. They, particularly my Dad, would do just about anything for us. He's out shopping this morning for a new laptop for my daughter. We will pay for it even if he tries to, but he's on a mission to find the best deal lol.

3 Supportive People You're Grateful For

1 God

2 My Dad and my late Grandparents who will always have a place in my heart. They both truly blessed me by their presence and love all of their lives. I believe they are keeping watch over Dad and I from Heaven now.

3 My TX Cousins
4 Church family and friends who have become closer and extra family. All of you in this thread.

Supportive people . . .

My mom, who sadly has passed, was my biggest cheerleader. Her birthday would have been today, and I miss her every day.

My sister, another cheerleader who is always in my corner and supports me unconditionally

My fellow DISers, to whom I can bring any problem and get helpful advice
