Ladies - I'm heartbroken and dont know where else to post. We just found out DD11's best friend's mother died in a fiery awful crash. If you pray, please pray for this family.

I wasn't sure about following so quickly with 3 cheesy things, but then I realized it's more reason to appreciate, be grateful and love.

The cheesy smile of a toddler who has learnt to smile for the camera.

Yes!!! We need lighthearted in our lives as much or more than the heavy! I definitely didn't mean to bring us down. My gut reaction was this group of lovely people!!! I look forward to our list every day. ❤❤❤

I did wonder if my reply was a bit too heavy. I've changed it to something simpler ...lighter.
I haven't been part of this thread long, but I'm glad you thought to share it here.

Pizza...definitely pizza!!
Mozzarella sticks, especially when DS wants some, and I get the extras.

I also enjoy so much reading each of your daily shares. So many times, I, too, can't believe, I didn't think of one of your replies such as blankets and a bed for b! Extra right now, how blessed I am to have warm blankets and a bed.

Don't know about cheesy but our group right here is sure endearing and special!

1 Dad loves most all cheese. I only like Kraft American singles and Plain whipped cream cheese.

2 A memory of my beloved grandma writing me on a piece of paper with a picture of a piece of cheesecon it that says, "A Note from the Big Cheese." I am pretty sure that is currently in my scrapbook

I’m so sorry about your DD friends mother - how horrible - that poor family I can imagine what they are going through having lost someone very dear and close to me in a horrible car accident and a mother in my teen years - I really feel for that little girl who at such a young age lost her mother so heart breaking - I do hope she has other adults in her life that can step up and help her through this gut wrenching time and going forward - praying for the family Things like this make you truly appreciate what you have because it could be gone in a heartbeat

Cheese things:

1. Pizza—my DH’s favorite food. I enjoy it too.
2. Grilled cheese—an easy dinner and delicious when paired with tomato soup.
3. Charcuterie—copying this one—but one of my favorite things to eat.

Charcuterie - omg do I love these - some of the best ones I’ve ever had are at Disney!!! I enjoy making these too / I’m heavy on the cheese and fruit and always some honey to dip my cheese in!!

@eksmama01, I can only imagine the shock you DD11 and family are experiencing. I am grateful we have each other to lean on at times like this. Thanks for entrusting yourself to us at such a raw moment. Hopefully our cheesy gratitudes are provided an occasional distraction for you.

With that, here are three things that are cheesy for which I am grateful:

Queso fresco made by DIL and her family. This is a case where it wouldn't make my the list if we were focused on our 3 favorite things but does make the list of gratitudes since I appreciate that she things of us and shares the fruits of their labors with us.

Books of jokes written for kids. This category also includes puns, Dad jokes, Jungle Cruise punch lines, etc.

Yes, my favorite was the one Raglan Road used to have. However, it has been gone since the pandemic. If they ever bring back the "Irish Board of Loveliness" at Raglan Road, that would be something to be grateful for.

Wilderness Lodge used to have some good ones - I believe they are trying again
That always awesome restaurant on the top floor of the Contemporary - the lovely California Grill - they always have a nice one - their Sunday Brunch throws it in a Bloody Mary for you
