I've never been on a cruise, but I'm in!

3 hobbies/activities:

1. Reading - escapism at its finest
2. Swimming - another way to escape (oops maybe that is floating) plus exercise to boot
3. Playing silly games with my DD10 each night. She takes an improv comedy class and she usually wants to play the games with me. Think telephone, the ABC game, the old people game ("well back in MY day...")❤️

Good Monday Morning Friends…..

This is a fun topic - I’m grateful for….

Puzzles - I love doing my 1000 piece puzzles (I just finished one)
My puzzles are from the same company, and the same finished size (30x24).
They are for different seasons and after I glue them, I take them in and out of a frame in my kitchen walkway. I just finished a winter one that I’ll put in the frame in January. I have a Halloween/Autumn one in there now, and a Santa one will go in there after Thanksgiving. I have to start looking for a new one to do after the holidays.

Reading books that are turned into movies.
Ideally, I like reading the book before the movie, but it doesn’t always happen that way - there’s a lot of older books that are turned into movies a long time ago that I read. I find it fun to see and find all the differences in the book and movie.

All the softball practice time I’ve done with my DD19.
I‘ve hit her thousands of balls to practice fielding.
Threw her thousands of balls to practice hitting.
Caught thousands of balls for her to practice pitching (I got 2 teeth knocked out due to this)
Done tons of drills with her to fine tune skills.
Not only did this keep me active and help keep me in shape, it gave me memories with my DD19 that are priceless. Now that she’s playing in college, I don’t do this much anymore, but when she’s home on Christmas break we’ll get some practice time in, and I can hardly wait.

Today's Topic (Mon. 11/14) - 3 Hobbies or Activities You're Grateful For

1. Freedom to worship.

2. Disboards. I have made many on line and in person friends. (@PrincessInOz calls them “3D” meets) It has given me access to much information that I don’t think I could have gotten elsewhere.

3. Gardening, bicycle riding, and reading, these activities I enjoy, and have been able to do.

1. Cross-stitch. I like to make things, as long as my hands hold out. They cramp up pretty easy now-a-days. Right now, I'm making ornaments. I did a bunch of angels on clothespins a long time ago (with cross stitch dresses). I like doing them on fabric, but the ones I'm doing now are on plastic canvas (which I like to do too).

2. Playing video games. I play a couple of different ones regularly, and was able to get into the betas on them! So exciting.

3. Playing the piano. I said last time, I'm not very good at it; but it keeps me busy. I haven't been able to play the last month or so (I fell and hurt my wrists; then a few days ago, I sliced the nail off my left pointer finger...both kept me from all my hobbies, so I need to make up for it, haha).

Oh, Get Well Soon! I'd love to play the piano - but first I need a piano! :D

1) Walking in nature
2) Baking
3) Day trips
4) Puzzles and games
5) Watching sport (esp. tennis, NFL, cricket...)

That was 3 right?! Mathematics isn't on my list! ;)

1. @Bianca and Bernard --another thing we have in common. I love to cross stitch (hence my screen name). I can't do it as often any more as my old eyes get tired, but I still do it now and then.
2. Gardening. I start my plants from seeds every year, till the garden and plant it myself, and harvest all the goodies
3. The DIS. Have made some great friends on here, and I am so glad that I found these forums almost 21 1/2 years ago (wow, where did all that time go)

I sure hope you are healing, and that you can get back to your favorite activities soon.

Hah. between the piano, the housework, the yardwork, the laundry and now the cross stitch...we are two peas in a pod!

All healed up from the fall, and healed enough from slicing my nail that I can do things with that pointer finger again! DH panicked when it happened, and made me go to the ER...where the bleeding stopped as soon as they called me back to triage. LOL He was all "you need stitches!!!" and I was "no, there is nothing to stitch....I sliced a piece off!" :rolleyes2

Good Morning from me as well, everyone.

1 Being able to worship and quietly pray, talk with God at any time.
2 Dad and I enjoy watching the Price is Right along with some Hallmark Christmas movies together.
