Good morning, everyone. My life has been busy-busy, some good, some challenging, but I will try to "play" more consistently again!
Things that I know how to do:
Sew- My mom taught me to sew when my legs were long enough to reach the foot pedal on the sewing machine. In 9th grade when my classmates were making aprons and skirts in home ec, I was working on a velvet formal dress. I made my wedding dress, my sister's (and she lived in NOLA while I was in San Francisco, so I actually made it twice, once in a solid cheap fabric that I sent to her, she had fitted and sent it back, and I used it as a pattern for the real, satin wedding dress), too many formal gowns and bridesmaids dresses to count, and numerous men's shirts and of course all our Halloween costumes across the years. I also volunteered as costume mistress for my daughter's ballet companies and made WAY too many tutus over the years!
Organize! I am an organizer by nature, although you wouldn't know it by looking at my house, hahaha. However, if you need something planned (big events, trips, etc), a car packed efficiently, or someone who is really, REALLY good at dishwasher tetris, I'm your girl! I like doing this- it gives me a sense of accomplishment, although DH says it's just because I like being in control!
Drive- I love driving. It's my release when I am stressed. In the winter, I'll crank the heat and the radio, open the windows, and DRIVE. I also love the sense of adventure that driving brings me, the freedom to just take off, be, and organize myself internally.
OMG, I SWEAR I didn't read
