Skipped Tuesdays, as there is nothing about that day that really makes me grateful, lol
Today's Topic (Wed. 12/27) - 3 Incidents of "Pixie Dust" You're Grateful For
1. Hubby and I were on our way to WDW for our honeymoon. Our flight was scheduled out of our local airport at 7:30 am. At 6:30 we got a phone call saying because of the weather, the flight wasn't happening. They told us if we could get to Pittsburg before 10, that we would be put on the flight leaving shortly after that. We are almost 2 hours away from Pittsburg, but we jumped in the car and got on our way. We got there, only to find out that the flight had left 20 minutes earlier. We were devastated. They scrambled, trying to find us something else. They had a flight leaving shortly, but only first class seats were available, so they put us in there for nothing. Best flight ever! I had never flown first class, and while it's not something I would ever pay for, it was nothing but pixie dust for us. We got to WDW only a few hours later than we expected to after all. We still have no idea why our original flight was cancelled, as the weather was perfectly clear at home, in Pittsburgh, and in Florida, lol . Guess Fate was stepping in that day!
2. Same trip, we were in Dinosaur Land I think it was called at the time. Hubby insisted on wearing a fanny pack with too much stuff in it. We stopped to get something to eat, and he realized his wallet was gone. I was panicked, but remembered someone had told me,,always find the closest CM and ask for help. I did, and he called whoever he needed to. He was told that the wallet had already been turned into guest relations at the front of the park. Thank God for pixie dust and honest park goers
3. Again, same trip. It was our honeymoon, and they gave us honeymoon pins. Everywhere that we had dining reservations noticed the pin, and we were given the best tables I had ever seen. Even at Rose and Crown, they told us they had no outside tables to watch Illuminations, yet magically a table appeared. That was one of the highlights of our trip watching it from that vantage point.
