Three Things...Gratitude Thread

/
:woohoo:TGIF! :woohoo:

I’m narrowing it down to my winter clothes since it’s heavily snowing outside right now.

#1 - My fleece lined jeans - they are the best!

#2 - My Turtlenecks - I hate it when my neck is cold

#3 - My Thermal Socks - these I wear when watching DD20’s games. First game outside in northern Indiana on 2/17 - a spring sport starts off as a winter sport.

Gauging my ideas against the replies of others, it is clear that I don’t live in real winter 😂

Compression leggings with deep pockets along the outer thighs for my phone.

Old Italian ski sweaters from the 80s. They weren’t cheap even though my mom got them at summer sidewalk sale prices, but they still look great 38+ years later, are super thick/warm and are my go-to for layering when we get cold snaps.

Compression running socks- I haven’t run in several years, but I found two brands/styles that I love. No more blisters, sweating or slipping…even if it’s just for walking these days.

Today's Topic (Fri, 1/12) - 3 articles of clothing you're grateful for

As many have already noted, PJs. I love pajamas and put them on as soon as it gets dark (too early this time of year)

I also am grateful for leggings as they are comfortable and fit whether I'm up or down a bit unlike jeans!

Lastly, I'm really appreciative of my "Life is Good" tees. I have them in all colors, both short-sleeved and long. They are the softest cotton and really hold up well in laundering.

Made with milk: -
Ice cream. Of course. 🍨
Creme fraiche.
Yogurt. Especially, drinking yogurt. Long been a fan of that.
ETA: I can't believe I didn't think of cheese and chocolate!!!

It's funny how, looking back, some clothes hold/held really sentimental value. Even if only in memory, now. A tiny tee from a family vacation to the Caribbean (I still have that one); dungarees with a Snoopy patch; a sunhat that had a particular scent (nice one, I promise!! 😉); a tee from my student summer in the U.S. etc. etc. .
ETA: Yes to cosy PJs, thermal leggings, soft fluffy socks, meaningful tees, turtle necks and blankets.
And I have to say, wearing a uniform all through teenage school years saved a lot of stress and, probably, money!
