I'm not a taffy fan. A very favorite Touched by an Angel episode of mine, called, "Then Sings My Soul," takes place at a taffy factory. Should any of you watch this episode or be a fan of this show, PM me. I'd love to chat about it

Grandma and how much she loved all and treats. Grandpa preferred which my beloved dad still enjoys today.

Summertime longer, lighter, and warmer days are such an extra blessing. Here's to a safe and of course sweet Summer to come for all of dear you.

You just reminded me of my Grandma and Grandpa's favorites - grandma loved lemon drops and grandpa's favorite was peppermints. Grandma always had a little baggie of both of them in her purse with her.

I loved the lemon drops with that sugar coating on the outside of them. Such a good memory!

Cracker Barrel - great place to get candy !!! They carry such a variety of candy !!!

WDWEPCOT, I don't think I have ever been to a Cracker Barrel. Grandma when she lived in Houston many years ago did enjoy going there. It is possible on one visit to see her I may have, too, I don't remember now. This would have been in the 90's. I have read of other Disboard friends who enjoy dining there and am glad that you have good memories, too

Bonomo’s Turkish Taffy…loved it as a youngster. Chill it, crack it, eat and share!

Mom loved Molasses Mint from any of the Jersey Shore candy stores. If I was going to have a piece, it would be Molasses Mint with memories of mom.

National Taffy Day/Sweet Treats

1. Those boxes of Salt Water Taffy we would always buy when visiting the Jersey shore in the summer! Can’t eat them now….unless I’d want to pull out my crowns…which I don’t.
2. Candy sticks we always buy when stopping at Cracker Barrel restaurants on road trips…that always seems to be a road trip restaurant for us.
3. Ghriardelli Chocolates…dark chocolate sea salt caramel.

1. Salt water taffy does remind me of the beach—we often get some when we go to Hilton Head.
2. Also reminds me when I was a Brownie/Girl Scout and we made our own taffy—pulling taffy was fun.
3. I do enjoy a few pieces when we are at the beach.

Kitchen things;
1) Dishwasher.
2) Regular/full-sized oven. We had a smaller, built-in wall oven for our first 20 years in this house, so I am very grateful for our normal-sized oven.
3) Two things that belonged to my late Mother: her Rival crockpot and her Rada vegetable peeler. I think of my Mom whenever I use these things.

1. Double oven
2. Extra counter top ice maker. DH uses a lot and fridge doesn't keep up.

Unrelated - surgery went great!! Fixed a couple of unrelated issues that he found. Should by home by Sunday. And labcorp just posted good news on my adrenal gland. God is so good.

Refrigerator - I’ve gone through several the last few years - always grateful to have one that is working
Coffee maker - old school - not a k pod machine - full pot of coffee - had mine for decades now love love love it ! I have to have my coffee every day !!
Pantry - so grateful to now have one IN the kitchen ! I now have a kitchen with enough space for just about everything I have ! So nice not having to go to the basement to dig out something you don’t use very often

Coffee makers. We have two single cup brewers because we have different ideas about what makes a good cup!
Hidden garbage can, it’s a nice feature

We have a small kitchen, but it works for us!

My favorite blue glass mixing bowls

Air frier - I love that it's quick and I don't have to heat up the oven for small things

Keurig - it's nice to be able to have so many kind of coffee (or tea, or cocoa) ready right away

1. My great grandma’s rolling pin…hand worn to that perfect smooth finish.
2. KitchenAid mixer…used quite often.
3. Coffee maker…things would not go well at our house without it!
