Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Well I love fruit but my I.C. Doesn’t - and it’s not to fond of most vegetables either ! I do miss OJ can’t touch the stuff - have t had any in over 18 years !

Grapefruit - shockingly it’s on a do nit eat list for my IC but I seem to tolerate it ❤️ which I’m so happy for as I love it

Pineapple - it’s also on list - can have it every now and again without too much trouble - yeah also huge favorite

Green Grapes - I could eat my weight in these ! Love them

Green Bananas - yum!

Potatoes - you can do anything with them - dress them up leave them plain they are delicious and go with everything

Sweet Potato - again dress up or down yummy

Corn - huge favorite

Fried Okra - nothing better

Tomatoes - on the do not eat list - I have to limit these - but fresh garden tomatoes - yummy

Asparagus - another can’t eat and I love this one - haven’t had it in years

Fruit & Veg.

Butternut squash -- one of my favorite soups, especially if homemade.

Strawberries & raspberries -- a local farm grows them and sells them for about the next 5 months. (Had some with a warm croissant this morning. 😋 Well, strawberries; raspberries not quite yet.)

Potatoes & Sweet potatoes. ...Baked. French fried. etc. etc.

And peaches. They're very difficult to get in the UK, do you think it's a good idea to emigrate to the US just for fresh peaches in the summer?! :rotfl:

3 fruits and/or vegetables you're grateful for
1. Plums
2. Oranges
3. Raspberries

And THANK YOU for all the lovely birthday wishes!

Friday I took off work and went to the Science Center. It was going to be the zoo and/or the Science Center, but parking at the zoo was.... craziness, so I just did the science center instead. Yesterday we (oldest brother, mom, and I) went out to breakfast, and then we actually celebrated my cousins' son's high school graduation, but I got to see extended family on my birthday, which I don't normally get to do, then I opened my presents. Today, after church I had auditions for the children's musical, but then we went out for lunch at Outback for my "official" b-day meal. Then tomorrow, I'm only working half a day because I already agreed to cover the phones for a different office for the morning, and that office is only three miles from my house. So then we have the rest of auditions Monday night. And then I also took Tuesday off, partially because I know my brain will be absolute mush after auditions and casting the musical. So... I took some extra days off for my b-day as well.

Pharmacies

I must say, the last was hard, but yes, I am grateful for the availability of the medicines I need.

Hi all! I am back from a 13 night DCL cruise from Miami to Barcelona. Both of us are under the weather, and badly needing to get our bodies adjusted to NY time zone. Will be on the Disboards sparingly.

Good Monday Morning Friends

#1 - I’m grateful for my pharmacy, especially the one that has my Entyvio (my UC medication) - I get my infusion tomorrow morning.

#2 - I’m grateful for all my photos around my house - so many memories on my walls.

#3 - I’m grateful for my phone (iPhone to be specific) - it’s amazing I was able to function without it once - LOL!
