Three Things...Gratitude Thread

:thanks::grouphug:Everyone for your kind birthday wishes. I truly appreciate them and each of you, too. I am having a lovely day. God has indeed blessed me and my Dad just by being able to celebrate together once more in health, with Him. How extra blessed I am for sweet friends like you. Prayers each of you are having a great day, too.

1 Extra this day I give humble thanks to God for Him period and that He chose to wake my Dad and I up in health, together, and with Him. I pray all the extra to be a bringer of kind witness and love. What a blessing!

2 Sweet birthday wishes from family and friends and that I was able to see one local friend briefly already and will be seeing a second a little later. Also look forward to talking with my Cousins.

3 Promise of a new beginning and joy to come. Fresh start :)

1. My Department 56 village—so pretty.
2. Enormous train display at our science center—I was in awe of it as a kid and it’s only gotten bigger and better since then.
3. My mom’s main hobby was miniatures—she loved making dolls, dollhouses and vignettes. She was very talented.

3 tiny things

1. DGD. She is so petite and light as a feather. Her aunt (DD) was a chunk lol.

2. Our gerbils. Who knew little rodents could be so loveable!

3. My house. It is tiny, and I love it. We've owned 4000 sq foot houses...and 1200 sq feet. And I love my cozy home. Less to clean, more time to love those inside.

I would love to take a ride on a mini train and also enjoy the Storybookland Canal Boats. I would love, though, for a new theming of the ride, something more Disney and cuter, more fun such as Disney characters in regular outings. Picnic. Church or School, etc.

1 Mustard seed reminder that is a springboard of my faith. My daily prayer to be a small kind witness and light.

2 Every day in itself and moments extra in health, safety, with my dad.

3 Good memories of a childhood miniature collection, a miniature museum, and I would love to still make a Christmasy Department 56 like house village!

I'm going to piggyback on the mini-golf inspiration - grateful for memories of playing that with my cousins when were kids. They lived near a campground and we used to walk over and get a day pass to play mini-golf, air hockey, etc.

Grateful for a tiny glass peacock that sits on my kitchen windowsill. Another cousin has an identical one that we bought on an outing together, and it reminds me of our connection.

My cats' tiny toes:

(This is a pic from the internet, not either of my actual cats.)

I so enjoyed playing miniature 🏌️‍♀️growing up and when younger as an adult, too, pre TMJ. Not sure how enjoyable playing would be these days. I do still think that helping to design a Disney themed mini golf course would be a ton of fun::MickeyMo

(Thurs, 5/11) - 3 foods you're grateful for
1. Cheese omelets
2. Dark chocolate
3. Swiss cheese and triscuts

(Fri, 5/12) - any 3 things you're grateful for
1. For all the kids and teens at church who earned their Awana awards Thursday night, and especially the one senior who earned the highest Awana award, the Citation award. He is number 148 from our church, since 2000. We've been doing Awana at my church for 37 years, but didn't have the Jr. High and High School programs at first. They still put a list of all the Citation Award winners in the program each year. I'm "Class of 2021" because I went back as an adult to do it.... Only about 20 years late.
2. I finally bought myself a new swimming suit. My current one wasn't very old, but was long sleeved. They were originally long on my, and stretched out even more, so it kind of felt like I was dragging jelly fish through the water with me. Or something. So I bought a new one today, and already tried it out and I think I like it. Now to get some new goggles and possibly a neoprene strap cover.
3. The library district in my county. I know I'm biased, but I think we have one of the best libraries in the country, between the many programs, the awesome children's areas, and wide selection of books.

(Sat, 5/13) - 3 tiny or miniature things you're grateful for
1. The Dove Chocolate promises. Do I eat too many of them a day because they are tiny? Yes. Do I care? No.
2. Baby animals. And baby humans.
3. Uh.... me? lol

Miniature, Tiny...

The number of points the UK got in Eurovision last night! :rotfl2:

But, seriously...

Snowflakes. It doesn't snow much here (if I had to shovel snow all winter, I might feel differently! 😉), but I love being out in falling snow and love knowing that each flake is so different.

Earrings.

Cashew nuts.

...Bite size food - little snacks or appetizers
M&M ❤️❤️❤️❤️
::yes::::yes:: Yes, what is it about bite-sized food? It's just more relaxed? All the flavours in one mouthful?

And, M&Ms ...of course! :D
3. My house. It is tiny, and I love it. We've owned 4000 sq foot houses...and 1200 sq feet. And I love my cozy home. Less to clean, more time to love those inside.
Less to clean, more time to love... Did you have to minimalize your belongings a lot? I'm guessing so! I'm in the process -- it feels so much lighter and more free.

All this talk of mini golf reminds me of the course in my home town growing up - a very small, simple course, but with views of the water.

Designing a course would be fun!
2. Mini Nutella jars
😋😋 I used to keep a few of those tiny plastic Nutella 'pouches' handy to keep me going when I was studying for my degree.
