Three Things...Gratitude Thread

(Mon 4/24) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with the letters "BR"
1. My brothers
2. breakfast
3. Breaks

(Tues 4/25) - 3 things you're grateful for about your phone
1. All my music apps
2. My games
3. My Bible memorization app... I've mentioned Awana and the supplemental passages available, and this app has helped me memorize quite a few of the passages. I always challenge myself to do the entire passage together (not required) even if it's more than one sheet (definitley not required) and I almost have all of Romans 12 memorized. Hoping to say it Thursday, which is the last night to say verses for the Awana year, but I may have to defer to the students finishing their books.

Stationary

1. My Hello Kitty pencil case from the early 80s that had secret compartments and goodies to be found.

2. The hundreds of greeting cards I have from so many charities. Reminds me of my granny who would be 102.

3. The purple ball point pen where I chewed the cap on it...and broke off every top bracket on my braces. :D

Favorite Pen ? I almost spit out my coffee laughing - pen wars at work ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Remember those pens back in the day - you slid down a little lever - it had 4 choices of color and you had one pen that could write four different colors ? Loved those

I still write letters to a few people - not as many as I used to - live pretty paper to write on

I like getting a nice fancy notebook - something cute and small for my Disney planning - I have several from over the years - they are like little books full of memories

Oh! And thank you notes!!!!!

I still send thank you notes and have taught DD to do so.

They can make a difference in how people feel when they are or are not sent. I know some people think this it is an antiquated task, but I still think it is important.

I'm one of those people who really appreciates a thank you card. DH is so good at sending thank yous. One of the things I love about him.

I'm grateful for these notebooks:

- the big one because it has a hard, sturdy back, so you can write on your lap, and the little one because the glitter inside the cover just makes me smile.

I'm grateful for fun pens. Besides the ones mentioned above, I had a ton of novelty ones that I used when I was substitute teaching - Minnie Mouse, the Cat in the Hat, a flamingo, a dragon...great conversation starters with the kids!

I'm very grateful for the letters I saved from various friends and family members over the years.

Good call! I keep some cards as keepsakes. Every so often I cull, and read before discarding. I have a large post card collection. They are mostly cards sent to me, but I have also sent special ones to myself.

I am grateful for those who continue to send snail mail!

That is my all time most favorite pen - I use it when I'm doing the scorebook for DD19's games. Over the last 12 years I've gone through many of these pens. When I was coaching, the parents always laughed at me, because I would have that pen and two pencils hanging off the neck line of my shirt at all times.
Red - outs
Blue - the score
Green - indicates which batter starts the next inning
Black - general notes about the game.
The rest is done in pencil.

Slo, this made my head hurt. 😂

Stationery

Pens that write really smoothly. Inc. marker pens!

I use a whiteboard & pens for meal planning - so satisfying and handy.

I find these big paperclips also very useful.

Special mention for staple guns.

And blu-tac.
