Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Ooh, I am way behind here.

Foods on a stick I’m grateful for:

1. A butterscotch and vanilla Dilly Bar In the summer.

2. A beef or chicken shish-ke-bob over rice at the fair every summer.

2. Mini Caprese skewers (grape tomato, mozzarella ball, fresh basil leave and balsamic)

I wish I had a cat to participate in the second category! Maybe some day…

Foods on a stick - hmm
Popsicle - childhood favorite - still love them

Kabos - I don’t make them enough but do enjoy them - all vegetables or with meat

Any sweet treat you get at Carnival / Event / Disney / etc - deep fried and on a stick - how can it not be good ???

Cats - I am a Dog person at heart - with that being said - I’ve been with cats most of my life - I’ve had a few I really bonded with
It still amazes me that cats can be trained - well most cats
some cats are excellent jumpers and as such can be fun to play games with - I had one cat that could jump very high over and over - I found that amazing how high he got

I trained one cat to play fetch ( same cat above ) this cat had endless energy and could play for hours

He was also trained to have his special spot on my bed with his special blanket fixed up just for him nightly
Sadly he got very sick and died at a very young age (2) 😢😢

I’ve come to enjoy cats thrust upon me by DD - I never thought I would but I’m glad I’ve gotten to enjoy them

I had one cat that got into all kinds of things with help from my dog - those two working together got into everything as this cat could open containers - little devils they were 🤣🤣

I’m grateful to have gotten to enjoy cats in my adulthood as I didn’t enjoy them as a child but have found them entertaining and at times nice and peaceful to just sit and pet my cat versus my dog who just gets excited and grabs a ball instead of just sitting there to be petted nice and quiet

Happy Tuesday

#1 - I’m grateful for corndogs - I absolutely love corndogs. I rarely eat them, but when I do, I get sad when it’s over - LOL!

#2 - I’m grateful for DD19’s cake pops - she does a really good job. I doubt I’ll see them this summer because she really watches what she eats (as an athlete she doesn’t want any extra pounds) and DH is now diabetic.

#3 - I’m grateful for Dairy Queen Dilly Bars - the regular ones are only 240 calories, and they have a no sugar added option for DH. It’s a good way to have some ice cream without having to much ice cream.

I have no cats, so I can’t participate with that topic.

1 Good memories of Big Stick and lemonade aid flavored popsicles. Also, pudding pops! I have never tried a cake pop but they do sound tasty the same with Dilly Bars!

2 Fresh Spun Pink Cotton Candy
3 Not a cat person but am grateful to all of you that do have cats for giving them loving homes.

(Mon, 3/27) - 3 habits you're either grateful that you have, or grateful you were able to change

1. Bible reading/memorization - I finally started it with my nightly reading before bed, and that's kept me in the habit, after being an "on and off" thing most of my life. And the memorization started with I started working with Awana again, and I've kept it up. We'll see how I do after I finish with all the supplemental passages my church provides!
2. Reading before bed (similar to 1 above)
3. Listening to Christian music every day.

3 foods served on stick you're grateful for
1. Ice cream bars/pudding pops/popsicles. Man, do I miss pudding pops.
2. Kabobs
3. Carmel apples, even if I cut them up first, and don't actually eat them off the stick. Ha!

The last of the letter ones -

Today's Topic (Wed, 3/29) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with U and/or X

Happy HUMP Day

#1 - I’m grateful for umbrellas - they are wonderful to have during rainy softball games.

#2 - I’m grateful for the X-ray machine in our office - I’m surprised DD19 doesn’t glow in the dark after all the X-rays she’s had - LOL!

#3 - I’m grateful for UnderArmour sweatshirts - I love wearing them with a NorthFace vest in the winter, so I don’t have to wear a coat while running errands.

*I’m not grateful how everything is bold now - there must have been some type of update.

X-rays - awesome things I’ve had hundreds

Xanax - never sleep at night without it - my little baby dose helps me shut my brain off just enough so I can sleep otherwise I’m up all night pondering everything under the sun

Underwear - well I love having them !

I thought the bold was just me so I’m glad it’s not - but agree I don’t care for it
