Three Sisters Skipping Down Main Street - Final shot(s) 3/28

By the time we can get a trip planned and paid for I will probably be about 33ish, Middle Sis 30ish, Little Sis 28ish and Baby Sis between 13-15yo. I have taken Baby Sis to WDW 5 or so times since she was 5yo. Think I'd be pushing it if we just did the older sisters?

Thanks so much for the words...I will sing them in my sleep tonight!

I guess your trip depends on what kind of experience you want. My immediate thought would be just the older sis'...I had considered bringing my 13 yo daughter but opted against it cuz us sis' never have time for just us. How often do you see them all? Also sounds like Baby sis has had lots of time with you in the parks...

Yeah, definitely the big sis - maybe a special trip could be planned for lil sis for her sweet sixteen?

Thanks! That's what I'm thinking too. If she were that much younger and say 20 it would be different, I think. Plus, she will go with me again I'm sure. Sweet sixteen is a great idea! I'll have to think on that.

subscribing and loving it so far! You are very witty. I wish I read read more TR's before I had started my pre-trippie. Hopefully my TR when we get back will be better! I am also 1 of 3 sisters and would love to vacation with them at Disney!:grouphug:

Part IX.5
(Because Part X will be the end and I don't want it to end...and Kay just did a 1/2 so I'm copying her!)

Backpedaling again so I can show you the diff between Wishes on Main Street and Wishes from the bridge to Tomorrowland.

Again, part of it may have been the company I had on Main street with the kids but it was more magical.

Some of the bridge pictures did turn out pretty well though….

You know when they say to be careful because they are going to dim the lights? Why didn't they dim these???

DDD - Witty? I don't know about that?? If you hang out around here with these comedic folks long enough I think it just rubs off on you. thanks for visiting!
:goodvibes

Great trip report!! Can't wait for the finish:)

Donald - thanks for stopping by! :surfweb:

So all of those pictures were very good. BUT THIS ONE ROCKS:

What setting was your camera at? I always have issues (ya~I have a lot of these)with night shots of fireworks.

Wishes can be the last thing I see EVERYTIME I go! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

DH gets credit for this one. Have no idea what the settings were - not a very fancy camera either.

And you know what? I only remember all the people while we were waiting and staking out our spot. Once it started, it was just the four of us watching the show. :yay:

Grammy - you're sweet...

and Princess JV - your "issues" make you unique ;)

Thanks for sticking with me

Part X – So long, farewell:rolleyes1

Wait, wrong theme song…
How about…

:rolleyes1

So there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away

:rolleyes1

(Thanks Tmfranlk)

OK, we just finished Wishes so we’re on the bridge to Tomorrowland. We had picked up FP for Buzz before TTA which allowed us to walk right on but there wasn’t that much of a difference from the standby line so make a note to head right over there after the fireworks for a really short line.

BS and MS share a car and I’m riding solo but am catching glimpses of their scores. BS is beating me! That can’t be!

Interlude for a family background check here – I’m very competitive. BB (Big Bro) and I had contests all the time – throwing as hard as possible at each other and as fast as possible (got a black eye doing that one time) he’s 10 yrs older than I am, but I don’t like to lose to anybody. And I definitely wasn’t going to get beat at Buzz by my BS.

I was ready with an excuse, I really did have a hard time finding my beam in the first couple of rooms and what happened to the big target behind me in the first room that was going to score me big points??

Thanks to some pixie dust, the ride stops and I’ve finally gotten my groove on and I’m racking up points on some major targets.

Final score
MS – 7700 (cut her some slack, she’s only 100% in one eye)
BS – 54,000
LS – 130,500 Yeah Baby!

Yes, those are actual scores (at least mine is, I think they guessed) and I really wrote them down!
This is the point where we meet Disney Dan, see Part V, and we all leave happy to be prettier than we were when we walked in.

Next we head over to Fantasyland since none of us are Space Mountain fanatics. Did it when we were little. That’s enough for me!

We pick up a FP for Pooh, but the lines are still long for Peter Pan and Snow White. Hmmm, what else can we do over here???

iaswsoldier3x2.jpg

BTW – check out the soldiers above you in the Muppets preshow and tell me they didn’t get them from IASW…

Is it in your head yet? Should I hum a few bars for you? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

It only takes us as long as it takes to walk down the ramp to get in the boat. Just didn’t have the Magic for me this time. And I didn’t even take any pictures, just sat back and enjoyed the ride. BS, MS and I kept saying, “I don’t remember that outfit.” “Have those dresses always been that color?”

Did find the Hidden Mickeys in the vine this time. I was looking up last time, not to the right.

We broke down and got in the line for Peter Pan even though it was long. Actually wasn’t bad. Think I already mentioned that the posted time was 40 mins but it was really about 20 mins.

We did see the unimaginable here though.

It had gotten a little chilly so the CM’s were sporting their fancy coats (looked funny to this Virginian who was wearing shorts and a sweatshirt as they looked more like winter coats, not Florida chilly weather coats) and as we arrived at the PP turnstile, I looked more closely at the CM’s coat. That’s when I noticed…(brace yourselves, spoiler here) …

she was sitting down! Yes, she was sitting on a trash can! While working! I couldn’t believe it! Didn’t tattle on her though as we chose to compliment the good CM’s instead of focusing on the misbehaving ones.

Love Peter Pan. Love the little cars driving underneath us, love the music, love the croc and Hook balancing on his mouth and the ticking clock, love Peter’s voice… this is the Magic for me....

On the way over to Pooh, we stopped at the carousel – again, walked right on but I couldn’t find Cinderella’s horse. I love the carousel! We took several pictures, but of course, there was one of us in each one with her eyes closed so sisters would really come out of lurkdom if I posted one of those here.

We had to pass Snow White to get to Pooh and there was no line...

“Come on BS. I know I said, ‘Just one more ride,’ but there’s no line…”

Snow White always freaked me out as a child. Didn’t like that witch at all. But, MS is a lover of Dopey and, by golly, we were doing as many rides as we could get in, so we did it.

Well, all good things must come to an end, and it was time for our FP with Pooh. No diff between the FP line and the regular line at this point as it was almost 11 pm.

Mental note – If there’s a 9 pm Wishes show and the park doesn’t close until 11 pm (I think there was a 10 pm parade too), you can easily do all of Fantasyland in those 2 hours. We could have fit in Dumbo but we just weren’t up to it. (yikes, did I just admit to that?)

Love Pooh! A little more pixie dust here as the ride stopped a couple of times and since we were the only ones in the room….

I read all the books when I was little, still have them, love the look of the page from the book....

I tried really hard to find something in the store. Anything to keep from going home...

These just don't match up to my original Pooh...

But these guys were tempting...

MS was pooped!

As am I. Would you just look at the time???…it’s waaaaay past my bedtime….guess I can get in one last installment because our trip down Main Street did take some time with the last gazes at the castle, Photopass pics in front of the castle, shopping….

Thanks for reading!

I'm just getting caught up again. I agree that you have some tremendous pictures, and I'm enjoying the report as well. I almost missed your part 9 1/2 reference. :rotfl: I would have given you permission for a 9 3/4 episode or 9 /13/16 if you like! Perhaps you can do a few installments of epilogue. ;)

an epilogue....now there's a thought!

Wait til you see my nighttime main street pic! I impressed myself!

Part XI – I bid you farewell (but Kay said I could do an epilogue so stay tuned)

This was the sign on Pooh that I was dreading… :sad2:

theend3x2-1.jpg

:sad2: :sad2:

Time to head back down Main Street. No skipping this time.

First we had to gaze at the back of the castle…

castleback.jpg

How cool is that? I just noticed you can see the train station! :thumbsup2

And then, look, it’s a cute store – let’s take a peek!

Nice framed pics in the store in the castle but this is what caught our eyes….

castjewel.jpg

Amazing! And someone on the photo thread mentioned that they saw one of these in Epcot. They made more than one?

Out to the top of the stairs…

mainst.jpg

Not my favorite pic but I like the look of the outline of Walt…
Main Street doesn’t look very long from this view.
Hey, check out the hidden Mickey in the lights on the left by the Ice cream parlor!

We stop by the Photopass guy and get a couple of shots. Most of them have one of us with our eyes closed – AGAIN!

Anybody know how many different patterns illuminate the castle at night?

castlenightwhite.jpg

I did catch the “Kiss goodnight”. At least I think I did. Do a small burst of fireworks go off right before? Caused me to turn around and look back and I saw the lights blink down the castle.

Love Walt and Mickey….

We were freezing but had a craving for a snack so we stopped at the Plaza Ice Cream parlor. The Dulce de Leche was amazing! Don’t remember what BS and MS ordered but I know mine was the best – especially since it was free thanks to my Disney Visa rewards! Don’t think I’ve mentioned what I got thanks to the rewards but I know it included lunch at the Brown Derby, ice cream, and the earrings I’m about to buy at the Emporium.

BS buys some postcards and some Mickey ears for the grandkids, MS gets something for the DD she left at home and I search tirelessly for the perfect pair of Pooh earrings.

After one last trip to the bathroom I pop over to the Customer Relations desk and fill out the cards for our great CM’s – Disney Dan and Mr. Photopass guy.

Oh no! :scared1:
I didn’t write how much we loved Raul! How quickly I forget! Must get that email address from someone to let them know!

On to a rather empty monorail as it’s now after midnight. We were blessed to share the car with another college program CM that is just loving life (and loving spewing all his expertise) and a man who heard that there’s a “secret” Disney where everyone acts the same, has to wear the same clothes and “obeys” the Disney code…. Hmmmmmm

Off the monorail, to the tram. This is where I remember that I forgot to mail the Disney postcards while in the Kingdom (would that have given them a special postmark?) that I promised to send to sweet little boys and girls on the “Pay it Forward” thread… so they got mailed from Davie, FL and the CF campus….Oh well, it’s the thought that counts!

There are actually other folks on the tram with us.

Then the panic sets in…
"Do you remember where we parked? I don’t remember? How will we ever find it?"
"Oh, maybe that’s your van parked all by itself in that humongously empty lot?"

We fall into the car after commenting on how we’re quickly back to reality when we see the amount of trash on the ground. Looks like folks came for half a day after eating lunch in the car and their fast food meal, complete with bags, wrappers, cups and straws, is strewn all over. So much for the magic….

BS gets us back to the Palomino Suites (by way of I-4? How did we get there?)….

And to think….we were just leaving here 17 hours ago.

Coming soon - The Epilogue where you get to see my favorite picture of the trip!

I just read your whole TR....sounds like you had a blast! Awesome pictures in Part XI by the way! How did you get the pictures of the castle at night to not come out blurry?? That was my problem last summer, not one good picture of the castle at night.

BostonTink - thanks for stopping by! I was in your neck of the woods recently - driving back from NH we stopped in to visit my niece at Harvard. Would love to do Boston someday!

The only trick I know with the castle is not to zoom. I don't use a tripod and can't even tell you what kind of Canon I have but it works! Thanks for the compliment!

What a wonderful time you had with your sisters. You have some amazing pics, I love the 2 of the partner statue as you were leaving the park, BEAUTIFUL!

Fabulous TR.

DH said to tell you Re: BTMR goes faster in the front than in the back because of momentum. He is a MS Science and Math teacher and used alot of big words when trying to explain it to me, but this was the easy English reason :rotfl:

Wonderful pictures! Yes, you outdid yourself with those photos. This was another fun episode. Now I'm looking forward to your long, engrossing epilogue. :)

Yes we did, puggymom! Would do it again in an instant (but it will be a longer trip next time!) Glad you liked the pics. One was from '04 but I liked how they came out with different colored castles!
Your babies are precious :goodvibes

BTMR goes faster in the front than in the back because of momentum. He is a MS Science and Math teacher

???? the front is faster? Ask him to check out that website - wouldn't want to be posting false info here! And thank him for being a middle school teacher - I truly believe MS teachers are the most amazing people - dealing with hormones and the brain all at the same time :thumbsup2

Now I'm looking forward to your long, engrossing epilogue. :)

Kay - thanks for returning. Don't know how long it will be. The weather has finally gotten warm and the garden and flower beds are calling! But there is one more awesome picture to come!

Thanks for all your time and work with your TR --

I loved it !:cool1:

thanks for stopping by! It was a joy to write...but I still haven't been successful in getting BS and MS to come out of lurkdom :confused3
