Three Princesses and a June Trip to Disney World with pics, Final Update Aug 11th

hey Cathy, getting all caught up here. You should have gone into Cheescake. They have lots of yummy treats non-cheesecake variety. I can vouch for the chocolate chip cookies and the peanut butter ones too:thumbsup2

Ohhhhhhh..now you are talkin baybeee!:thumbsup2

I am thinkin the only reason sweets turned me off at this point is because on the DDP you eat them with every meal....I dont know how I came home the same weight :rotfl:

we are going oct 24-nov 4.......12 wonderful days. our longest disney trip ever.we are going to do the halloween party and i am not trying to think about what costumes we will do. i want to do a family theme...have us all dress up from characters from the same movie. we'll see. i think i agree with you about universal not being for little ones. i hope i can convince my hubby.

thanks for the complement about my girls...little girls are the best, but you already know that.

i meant to ask you where in jersey you are...we are in burlington and love the phillies and eagles. we have eagles season tickets. watching the phillies game right now and ugh..losing 5-0

Great installment Cathy! DH wants to go to US someday...I was there in 94. I am not clambering to go though...like you I don't really want to leave WDW!! ;) I love your pics of POR. I really wish they had had openings there instead of CSR but it's over and done with now. Can't wait for the next chapter!! :wizard:

Cathy, I just finished reading your trip report for the first time. Your three princesses are adorable. I laughed out loud when I read about your sneaking out of the room to enjoy the hot tub. :lmao: It sounds like you had a great time at US. Even though I would like to visit there again (we were there many years ago), I can never tear myself away from WDW. Maybe one of these days. :)

Great installment, as usual! I am so wanting to try US again. We've only gone once and it was a spur of the moment decision. I'm not going again unless we have a plan! Maybe a US/Sea World trip?

What was up with Curious George? I wouldn't have been a little freaked by that! Wierd...Curious George is curious not crude.

Glad you enjoyed US. LOVE your DH's Schmidt Jersey:thumbsup2

Thats funny...I just said the same thing yesterday! :thumbsup2

Wow 12 whole days..   thats sooooo exciting. You may just have a chance get something accomplished...I always leave feeling happy but like I left things undone. Which is why I have to go back!!! Gosh....thats going to be tough figuring out what you all are going to wear to MNSSHP. But with those cute little girls you definately have a head start!

Yes we're south of you...in Cape May. DH is watching the game of course. We have Eagles season tickets but hardly get up there...DH says Eagles games arent for families...too much drinking and whatnot....(lots of whatnot! ).

I thought you liked CSR???? I loved all of your pretty pics! And you said the room was nice too right? Course you'll be travelin in style with DVC next time. And you'll have a new little someone to share it all with!!! :cutie:
I am so excited for you! Does your horsey know yet??? :rotfl2: I hope you are not feeling sick yet!!! With DD3, I was nauseus day and night for 21 weeks straight....ugggg  and then 7 months after I had her...I was pregnant again:faint: My doctor felt so sorry for me. Between the two pregnancies I was hospiltalized 7 times for dehydration. Thats my only war story however. The rest of the pregnancy and delivery went well! :thumbsup2

:sad2: Was that the final score???

Hi Tina :cheer2: Thanks so much for reading and writing!!!! And thanks about the girls! That hot tub is definately something to try especially after walking all day. It was hot though!

Enjoying your trip report.
HI Rushing! :cheer2: Thanks so much for reading and writing!! ;)

Well, if you have the extra time its definately worth it!!! I love Sea World too...although I havent gone since 1999. I wonder how crowded it is? I am moving to Florida in 10 years...thats when I can check out all of these places in detail. :thumbsup2

Hi Cathy! I'm enjoying your TR. :thumbsup2
I have a question about which building you suggest at POR. We have 5 peole in our family too, so we'll have to have one of the trundle rooms. Which building did you think was best for being near things (the hot tub, food, etc.)?

Nice installment about Universal Studios! My family went to US/IOA for the first time a couple years ago right after Christmas, and it wasn't even very crowded then. We pretty much did everything we wanted to with hardly any wait. Now we have to go back in 2009 when the Harry Potter land opens!

And great pictures!

I know you asked Cathy and I am sure she will respond but I wanted to give you my 2 cents. We stayed at POR the week after Cathy and stayed in bldg 18 of the AB section. We are a family of 5 and this bldg was awesome. Right next to a quiet pool/laundry, close to food court, Ol' Man Island, and the South Depot bus stop. It was wonderful!

Grumpy was in charge of money and tickets this day since we were going out of the World. Yikes!
:scared1:

Writing her trip report:

:thumbsup2 It's never too early to start! :rotfl:

One funny story…when we returned from the ride, Grumpy was really grumpy cause his sneaker broke.
See what happens when you abandon the Mouse?? Retribution, WDW-style. ;)

We did see Curious George (the character) on the way out. He was a little crude though…very un-Disney like. He jumped off the truck and went “potty” in the garden by a tree…I thought it all a bit bizarre since kids were standing there wanting to meet him and he is off doing his “business”.
Okay, that is just BIZARRE.

I was wondering, too, about the room size. Did it feel cramped or just the usual "we're at a hotel so it's tight"?

Another fabulous chapter!! :thumbsup2

all in all would you reccomend universal to others if they asked about it??? I am thinking one of these years I may send the boys (DH and DS11) over to it but want to be sure they'd have fun....

Hi Homeschool Mama! Thanks so much for asking a POR question...my very first one!!! :cool1: Here is my opinion...I reqested Alligator Bayou (thats the section with the trundle beds!) Buildings 14, 15, or 27 and so the rest of POR wasnt even on my radar screen since I was sure I would get one of those buildings. Well, we checked in at 10 am and my only one real request at that point was an IMMEDIATE room since my daughter was sick. AB was not going to be ready till later in the day. We ended up on the second floor (there were elevators) of Oak Manor in a corner room. We had an absolute loverly view...it was quiet and peaceful and only a 3 min walk to the pool or the main building. It was about a 5 min walk to the bus stop or Boatwrights. We requested a pack and play for the baby since the Mansions dont have trundle beds and we were perfectly content. With that all being said, if you need a trundle bed than you will definately need AB and buildings 14, 18 or 27 are the closest....building 18 used to be smoking optional which is why I didnt request it originally but apparently its now very clean and non-smoky (all rooms are as of June 1st). Those would be your best bets! :thumbsup2 Hope that helps!!! ;)

Hi WDWgirl...thanks about the installment. Wow, I didnt know about the HP Land...hahahaha:laughing: ....I am sure you will enjoy your visit! It was nice to be away from the crowds!

DM I am soooo glad you enjoyed your POR visit...I thought the rooms were really nice too and plenty big enough. The double sinks were really nice too. :thumbsup2

Yaaa serves DH right for dragging us all off of WDW property :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I definately felt cramped when we stayed at All Stars and we had one less person then. However these rooms were plenty big enough and had a nice dressing area with a curtain and double sinks. Of course it isnt like the Poly or Contemporary (room size) but I didnt feel cramped at all. We even had a pack and play and a double stroller in there and 4 suitcases...wow

Another fabulous chapter!! :thumbsup2

Hi Tanya...Oh yes your DH and DS would love it!!! :yay: If you have the time its definately worth it...I wish we would have had another day to try out their "watery park" (Islands of Adventure) with the Cat in the Hat and water rides...oh well...gotta go back I guess!

I feel just horrible that i havent commented on your TR in a very long time! :guilty: Just know that I am still reading and following along!! :goodvibes

Now on to your update: that Curious George story had me cracking up :rotfl2: I guess I have a very odd sense of humor, but I do find that very strange. Could you imagine Mickey doing something like that? It is better not to think about it...

And what a fun night swimming back at the hotel! That is just the best after a long day of walking around in the heat. :thumbsup2 What a great way to spoil yourselves!!

Hi Cathy!
I'm really enjoying your TR, and your girls are just precious! Glad things got better after the rough start.

My parents used to own a house in Cape May, and I always considered it my second home when I was in high school and college. After the Texas Market burned, and they tore down the Christian Admiral though, it just wasn't the same. I have a lot of good memories from there though.

Looking forward to the rest of the report.

I know you are there reading Julianne...does everyone call you Julianne or Jule?? Anyways...I am not working in the summer so I have all day to devote to the pursute of Dissing, scrapbooking and now sewing...as well as the girls and running around to different things...:rotfl:
I so wish we had a hot tub....it would be used daily by me! The girls want a real pool...we have a kiddie pool but they really love the water!
All I can say about C George is :confused3

Hello LG Country~Thaks for reading :cheer2: Well the housing in Cape May skyrocketed about 4 or 5 years ago...homes were selling in the millions and people sold and walked about with big bucks after buying stuff for $150K. I hope that was your family!!!
I moved here in 1976 and remember the Chrisitan Admiral well...and I agree it really changed after that! Washington St Mall is still alive and well though.
How is VA? What do you do now? Do you have a trip coming up??
