Three nights in June ...

A coworker wants to go to Disney for the first time, for three days, in June. I told her three nights isn't long enough. She's looking to go Saturday-Tues. I said no way! It's their first time and I think they will hate it if they do that. She says they want to avoid the "kids". I asked if she realized June means "kids" are out of school in June. I told her it's not a good idea unless they stay a little longer and avoid June. What do you think?

My first response would be that if your friend wants to avoid kids....why
go to Disney?? There will be kids there all year round

Having said that, going for the first time, 3 days would not be enough in
my opinion. Depending on finances and such, 5-7 would be my minimum
if I were recommending to a friend.

I am taking a "girls only" trip for my DD's 5th birthday! only two nights- but it's disney! We will enjoy our two nights and wait for a longer vacation Sept. 07 with my sister's family! go in June and enjoy disney magic!!

Yes, but you've been there before. I see that you're a recent DVC member, too. Congratulations! Since you've been there before I think a quick girls trip will be a blast!

You may want to recommend early to mid September. That usually is a bit lighter (but with free dining this year, it might not be). Kids are usually back in school. But park hours can be shorter. And it will still be hurricane season.

If your co-worker has the flexibility to travel any time during the year then I think you are right to discourage her from visiting WDW in June. This will be our 5th trip in June - it is hot, humid and pretty crowded. Also, I think a lot of people travel Saturday-Tuesday so crowds may be a little heavier at the parks on those days as opposed to Wednesday-Friday. The reason was visit at this time is that is when our kids get out of school....although you will always find kids at WDW, it only make senses that there are more kids there during any holidays from school......

Oh my gosh, I laughed out loud at this. Is she for real? Tell her to go to Cancun or Tahiti. Not Disney.

Really though, do everything you can to discourage her from this 3 day June trip, but if she is determined to do it, just let her go. Then you can say "I told you so..."
