I am hoping that some of the offsite experts could offer some suggestions for lodging for a short stay over NYE this year. We are planning on spending Dec. 29-Jan. 1 off site this NYE holiday. It will be the tail end of a trip down to S. Fla. We don't want to stay on property this time because the rates are crazy-high for those nights. Our plans are to just kick around the DTD area and see some resorts on the 29th, do a long day at the MK on the 30th, and do something NOT in a park on NYE. We don't want to spend over $200/nt, and we would like to be fairly close to the parks. We are hoping to avoid the big traffic jam on NYE after midnight, but might like to do something...we just aren't sure what yet! Also, we would like a place where our DS18 and DD11 could swim/chill if the weather is nice, or where we could warm up in a hot tub and catch some movies if it is chilly.
