(I posted this at another board, but thought it would be good for more Internet coverage)
Hey all. New user here. I went down to Disney a week ago, and went through the SSR walk through, and I really think I may
wanna take the plunge on this, but need a few more days to look into
some things. HOWEVER, I find myself in a bind.
You see, when I was down in Disney, looking at SSR, I was told
afterwards that since I was single (versus my friend who was with me,
who is married), that I had three days to make a decision after I get
home or else the $8 a point credit/keeping the 2005 pts w/out
maintenance fee deal would expire. A spouse whose spouse is not
around has until whenever after they talk to their better half back
home to make a decision. My reaction was "Gah" but thought.. well..
whatever.
Fast forward until today, which would technically be the "third" day
of getting home. Looking on their web site, I see no notice of
this "three day" expiration of deals. What if I were to call as a
totally different person, or same name and a different address or
phone number (I have three I could use)? That just sounds fishy to
me. Is there truth to this expiration? Have other people run into
something like this?
Honestly, I am very interested in the program, but if I technically
have until April 1st before the rates go up and whatnot, I would
rather wait until I get some of my reimbursements and bonuses from
work. Also, I hate such rigid "time based opportunities" like this
on a moral level.
Oh-pinions?
Thanks in advance!
