Meet and greets are just as good, but sometimes involve a line. I like to multi-task, eat and get characters.
I don't think three is too many but do it while they are young. Once I started to pay the adult price for a plateful of M & C I couldn't do it anymore. They are wonderful memories and I'm glad we did them.

On our next trip we have Mickey and Minnie at H&V (mostly for the Fantasmic package) and Mickey again at Tusker House (definitely for the ROL package). I'm a bit worried its Mickey overkill (especially since we are DEFINITELY meeting talking Mickey in MK), but my 3yr old niece really only knows Mickey best and is not familiar with the other Disney Jr characters so my brother asked for Mickey instead (I had actually been hoping for Disney Jr as that is one meal we have never done yet nor have we ever met any of those characters - my kids were too old by the time those shows got popular).
