Good Morning Tkers!

Kids are at school and I am LOVING IT! They started last week but they only went for 3 days. Atleast I get 4 days this week. I stopped by the school office yesterday and I will be subbing for the first time this year next Tuesday for a 4th grade teacher. My town just added a new addition to the school that was K-3 so that we could bring 4th grade over from the other school in town that now houses 5th and 6th so that the 6th grade could be moved out of the Middle/High school that is now 7th through 12th. Did that make any sense?

I hate bullies no matter what age they are! I was bullied in school grades 5th through 7th. It was HELL! My DS10 was bullied for 2 years in Day Camp when he was 8 and 9. I ended up pulling him out and asking for my money back the first year. We had our fingers crossed that the next year that kid wouldn't be there anymore but no luck. Since we had brought the issue to the attention of the camp director we decided he could go back the next year but the little jerk was a bigger jerk. The counselors didn't do jack. Finally last year the JERK aged out so he wasn't there anymore and DS had an AWESOME time. This year DS10 and DS7 did 1 week of DC and had a good time. So big  for you and your son disney54us. Definitely let the administration know about the issues with meany. Tell the teacher and if you don't feel like she is listening tell the Assistant Principal who is usually in charge of discipline, atleast that is how it is done here at my kids school.

M&N: Thanks for the :wave2: !

I have a question for you all. Has anyone here tried to make a t-shirt using the pictures from the creative threads? I've been looking at the Lego thread and there are some really neat graphics that I know the kids would like (Being the BIG lego freaks that they are:laughing: ). I'm not really sure how to get the graphic. Do you just print it out on the iron-on paper or copy it to a file then print? I have no clue!

Have a good day!

Morning. Just sitting here listening to the music from MNSSHP & The Pirate/Princess Party. It was DD5's request while she has a "waffle party" with Cinderella. Don't ask. :rotfl2:

Ev-MINP stands for money is no problem. Don't we all want to take a Disney trip like that.

Pikester-Sorry you had to deal with being bullied while growing up and your DS too. Glad he had a great time at camp this year though. I made about 30 shirts for last years vacation. I would save any of the designs I like into a seperate folder on my computer. You never know when the designer could take off a particular design. Once it was saved on my computer, I would open the design with some kind of image editor or microsoft word (I think that's what others have recommended) There are 2 kinds of iron on paper....light and dark. I used the dark and I think the colors come out better. And if you use the light, you have to print the image as a "mirror image". I'll look and see what brand of paper I bought...some work better than others.

For the shirts, craft stores usually have sales on them. Wash them first before doing any iron-ons but don't use any kind of fabric softener. The fabric softener makes the transfers stick not as good. Don't wash the shirts after you the transfer so they look the best when you wear them the first time. But when you do go to wash them, turn the shirts inside out. It will help the transfers last longer.

As for our MINP trip to Disney, it has to be the Magic Kingdom. That is Disney World, you know. :rotfl2: Breakfast has to be in the castle before the park opens so we can get pictures on Main Street without alot of people there.

First ride would have to be Pirates for DD5. I have to see her bouncing in her seat telling me "There's Captain Jack!!!"

For lunch I just want a Dole Whip and a Mickey bar. We are not counting calories, right?

I'd like to have time to do the non-popular things. Explore Tom Sawyer's Island, ride the Liberty Belle boat and maybe see Stitch.

Dinner would have to be Liberty Tree Tavern but only if they still have the characters. Did that last year and it was alot of fun. Sorry that they are changing it.

Souvenirs....is there anywhere to buy disney artwork? I'd love to decorate a room with some really nice Disney paintings.

Love it, we did Tom Sawyer's Island and the Liberty our first trip, with DD, DS wasn't even around back then. It is so much fun, we finally did it again last trip with DS, funny we had to talk him into it. I think he's been there so much that he has his favorite things, but you have to explore and try new ones.
:rotfl: :lmao: Disney art, come to my DM's house:rotfl:. Actually, Hollywood studios, has beautiful Disney art. I swear my DM starts breaking out in sweats as we go through the gates. She has way to much I'm always like enough where can you put that? Also the DVC resorts have artist come in and they have nice prints, I buy them unframed and then go to Micheal's. A couple of things you can do I took the ADR card they give at they castle, do they still do that?? It's pretty and is cut out like the castle. I framed it in a glass front and back with a frame around the glass. This way on the back has our name date etc. Not using it now, but it use to be in DD's room.

Thanks, I think we should become the clean up the bully bricade. Don't you love when you make 'adults' aware of it and they do nothing? Glad that kid aged out and your son was able to enjoy.
Never tried the tee shirt thing, but hey DS loves lego's has gotten back into it and is building away so I'd be happy to let you make him one:rotfl:

Thought I'd check in before I started the day to see what I missed last night.

For my MINP (not quite sure what that stands for?) I would say Bkft at the castle with Cinderella and then enjoying MK. But I would have to move to Epcot in the late afternoon to do dinner at the WS (it would be tough to decide on a country) and then illuminations.

Hi ev is that what we are suppose to call you for short??? Oh no, we would have to do the illuminations private boat thing, remember Money no problem, wasn't sure either what MINP stood for but when I posted then I saw racer answered.

Hi M&N cute bear. School doesn't start till tomorrow here.
Racer how sweet a waffle party with Cinderella and Disney music:love:

I have figured out why I'm having weight problems. My skin is absorbing chocolate...I've started using a moisturizer make with cocoa butter! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: So THAT's the problem! No wonder I'm fat!! Gotta find a moisturizer that doesn't have any "butter" in it!:lmao:

Last month's discussion for our MINP trip to Disney was about places to stay. Next, we need to discuss which park to go to first...first thing to do there...best place to eat. May pick 2 since we'll be there all day. Don't forget to buy souvenirs.
Mine has to be Magic Kingdom. Just walking in and starting down Main Street, looking at the castle...definitely my happy place. I like Fantasyland's rides. I don't do roller coasters at Disney. I've only eaten fast food types so I have to find out best place to eat but I think I would like to try the Castle. I would spend lots of time and money in the jewelry store. They also have Precious Moments. I think Jim Shore things are here too. I'm sure I would add to my pin collection too. I'm sure I will think of more.

OK, I would have to go with MK too. I've never done breakfast at the castle, so that sounds like a great start. First ride is ALWAYS Space Mountain! But I do believe I'm getting a bit old for that kind of ride...

Don't know about lunch, since we always do CS lunches. Probably the Harbor House, since I've always enjoyed it there. And dinner? No question--Liberty Tree Tavern! There's something about that Thanksgiving Dinner menu year round that I just love!

Of course, I could scratch all of that, start in Epcot, and just eat my way around the World...:rotfl:

WHAT?!?!?!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: They're changing LTT?!?!?!?! What are they doing? That's my favorite place to eat at Disney--I've eaten there every single trip! Nooooooooooo! Don't change it!!!!

I thought you all would be up after getting the kids off to school...maybe you went back to bed! Have a great day....

Well, my kids don't go back until tomorrow (19 hours and 45 minutes from now, but who's counting??:lmao: ) But I was up, trust me. For some reason I've been having terrible insomnia lately. Last night I fell asleep watching Joe Leiberman's speech (sorry, Joe!), but when I woke up and turned off the TV, it took forever to go back to sleep. Then I woke up sometime after 3, and that was it. I gave up about 4, came out and read an entire book. At 7:15 I was exhausted and went back to bed, but gave up again when I was still wide awake at 8. So, up, shower, dressed, fed, and out to the gym. I'm quite sure I'll crash and burn at some point this afternoon though.

And tomorrow, I have to be up at 7 to get the kids up. UGH!

Wow its been a busy morning! School started here today too. Gosh, all those little ones heading off to be educated are so cute. The sulky teenagers? Not so much.

Ok, I'll play fantasy trip! For me, it would have to start with some sort of front gate service. Handicapped parking at TTC is terrible! So I would want some private transportation to get us to the front gate. We would have early brekkie ressies at Cinderella's then we would meet a private tour guide for that 8 hour Keys to the Kingdom tour! But we'd have some sort of golf cart, or at least an ECV for BF. After the tour, we'd have to head over to the Liberty Belle, because I never seem to catch it!

Then a quick jump over to the Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, BTTMR, and the Hall of Presidents. Quick snack of funnel cake and strawberry shortcake (coz calories don't count in fantasy world) before heading over to Tomorrowland to Buzz Lightyear where I can beat BF's score!

I guess I should be nice and go to Carousel of Progress, coz that's BF's fave.

Dinner? I guess Crystal Palace, but we've never been there, but I love a nice buffet.

Sorry you're not sleeping whgrn! You must have first day of school jitters too! :lmao:

Sorry I can't help with the tee shirt question. I'm crafty-challenged.

Yup Ev works for me...better than typing all those initals. So $ no problem changes things. I like the idea of the illumination cruise, can I take one of those Citron slushies or a glass of champagne from the France Kios? :drinking1

Oh and maybe Mickey can come along and entertain the kids so I can enjoy my drink in peace & quiet!!

Really got to go, been on way to long.

OOOOH, never thought about private tours! I like that idea. OK, I'd do the KTTK tour too, with a golf cart (makes it faster to get around!) And if calories don't count, then I want a Dole Whip, a funnel cake, and of course a Mickey Ears Ice Cream Bar!

I saw my doctor just now and she gave me a prescription for Ambien. Not for every night, just when I need it. I WILL be taking it tonite!!

OOOH! I wanna do an Illuminations cruise too! I've never done one of those!!!

Kids?!?! KIDS?!?! Surely you jest. This is a fantasy trip? I'm leaving 'em home!!:rotfl2:

I'm with you guys! Private Wishes viewing, catered with goodies and champagne of course! While we're at it, with DTD closing at 11pm, let's swing over there and do some money-is-no-object shopping! World of Disney and Virgin Mega store here I come!

Been reading on the other board about box office only La Nouba tix. Quotes at being $55/ticket. I so want to do this! I'm going to have to figure a night to get this done! BF is going to kill me! But what a great chance to see it!

Racetrack, that LGMH is great! Another one here who can't seem to find them at Home Depot....so I know there must be some other Disers around here somewhere! You think I can use a different color and just put "Dis'er" on it?

OK is it just me or is the time attached to each post like 15 minutes earlier than when you actually do it? :confused3

Nope, Ev, its not just you. I just figure the Dis makes me 20 minutes younger and gives me a second chance to do things right! :lmao:
