 D&D on this poignant anniversary. Give the little ones extra special hugs to help you through the day. At least it'll stop them from being crazy for a while...:)

Attention everyone!!!! Look at my post count!!!!:dance3: :cheer2: over a 1000!!!! Darn, I wasn't watching, I wanted to make my 1000 post here:sad2:.

Yay on 1000!!!!!!!!!

Wow Pikester that's really cool! I'm excited for it too (I may have to re-read the book in anticipation). Weren't you the one who was looking for summer reading? What did you end up getting? Did you see the news of the book of tales coming out in December by JK Rowling? I have to pre-order that one!

I finished Breaking Dawn, the fourth in the Twilight trilogy. I'm excited for the movie around December. The third book of the Eragon series comes out next month, I'm excited for that.

I'm presently reading the Other Boleyn Girl. And, of course, my WDW guidebooks!

Did you guys hear about the new Harry Potter land that Universal is building? Sounds really really cool. They are even going to have the school.

Disney54us
pepperw23 We held our own until the last couple of days. DH was upset that I was winning and his money was sucked into the black hole. :rolleyes1 Then he jinxed me and we ended up losing some. It's not like we lost the rent money, we only gamble $20 bucks at a time.

DL55...I only gamble $20 at a time too. But you can always hope to win big! But really how much can I win playing the penny slots? :lmao:

If you're willing to bet 2 bucks a pop (max bet) you could win a couple of $1000! Working as a slot attendant I've paid people $1000 jackpots on penny machines.

I think M&N did say something about being off. I guess I should of checked before I decided to reply.

So true! Penny slots can fool ya for sure. My Mom won 750 on a Penny Monopoly. I won 200 on the Deal or No Deal Penny machine...of course I think I had put that much in it already. :rotfl:

Awww...DL55 you've given this old girl hope. Heading to the casino on Saturday! I'll be sure to hit those penny slots for sure!

Try the Monopoly Penny slots. They are way fun! We had a blast on that one.

Hello All,

Plus, its the 1 year anniversary of the day my Dad died. :sad1: Been feeling sad and missing him a great deal.

[

 Here is a hug for you. I will be thinking about you this evening.

Bopsmom, Whgrn :woohoo: :woohoo: Heeyyyyy.

Just read on USA Today that they are moving the release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince to July 17, 2009 instead of November 2008. Booooo! Hiss, Hiss! Boooo! I had to make a new ticker.

I had heard about the new Harry Potter land at Universal. We are thinking of 2010 to take a trip. Atleast that's what I'm thinking. Not sure what DH thinks.

I'm not sure about the contract thing. If they were discussing trading him, they must still have his contract. There was also talk about him just being a pr type person for themBut it was his decision to retire and then changed his mind. Again, I have to stick up for the new guy they hired and were training. Why should ne be out of a job?

I may not be back until the 18th to get on. It seems like a lifetime away! Everybody get well, stay well, keep cool, and most of all don't kill too many threads!

That's a bummer! I have never read any of the books...shhhh lol. I did see the first movie though. Thought it was cute. Maybe I will rent them for the ride to Disney.

thanks for getting back to me Disney54us....It occurred to me earlier today and I really didn't know what to do. With the older ones, I just let them go, but 12 is really a dicey age for me. Too often, they think they're older than they are....and you're totally right about people at concerts! I get there with just enough time to get to my seat, but some people get there and tail gate and who knows what other nonsense....I just thought I was being too much of a fuddy-duddy about this and needed some input!

Aw geez Bopsmom! Now I'm really scared! No bathroom breaks for us!

(Jonas Brothers are here tomorrow night. I'm not going though)

12 or 15 the more the better. To many nut cases out there today:confused3.

Hi Gang!! I'm back, and sort of caught up on life, so i decided it was time I came back to my TK friends!

I am WAY too far behind to catch up, so can someone please give me a Readers' Digest version of what I've been missing? Is there a "guess when baby Lighttech is coming" thing going on?

My blog is now up to date, complete with pictures, so if you want to read all about my trip to Scotland (and see men in kilts!), the link is in my siggie. (Scotland part starts on page 10)

I've missed you guys SO MUCH!!!!!!

Welcome back!!!! Wish I new a Scottish saying to insert here but oh well it's me:confused3. took a quick peep at your trip looks like you had fun dancing queen:dance3:.

I looked for your thread but could not find it. I was gonna just say "O/T...but HI!!! :lmao:

OMG! Totally felt sorry for the "non cute" kid! Imagine being that poor little girl!

Have fun at the concert...or I guess I should say...hope you had fun at the concert! :rotfl:

Welcome back!!! How was Reno? Did you play any games while you were there (remember I am slot machine addicted! :rotfl2: )

That is extremly scary! DD is 17 and I still would accompany her to the restroom at a concert...I need her to protect me. hee hee.

WELCOME BACK!!!!! I thought about you so many times wondering if you were having fun! I am off to read your blog. So excited!!!!

Thanks for the support:hug: As you can see I did get one more reply:yay: Did you see how many viewed it? Can't tell me some of those know all and end all had no advice. Okay I'll be nice now:rolleyes:.

Busy day around here, I see. I'm done working on wedding stuff until maybe late, late tonight. I just want all the kids to be in bed before I start anything

  :dance3: :dance3: :cool1: :cool1:
Congratulations!!!!!!

I totally missed when I hit 500 too.

You work fast girl, maybe that's why your screen name is racerchicky:lmao:. Have fun w/ the wedding stuff pictures remember pictures!

Good afternoon dear friends! Congrats disney54us on the 1000th post!

I cheated on my husband David Cook last night. I totally fell in love with the lead singer of Maroon5: Adam Levine. Not my usual type; he's scrawny and tattoo covered. But he oozes sex appeal. He sings and I swear, amidst the hundreds of people, makes you feel like he's singing just for you. He's also very talented: he writes most of the songs and plays guitar and bass. Yummy.

Overall, the concert was great. We had fantastic weather. Sara Bareilles is a good perfomer, sounds just like her album. She gave little ancedotes of the songs and was utterly charming. Maroon5 rocked out and had a fantastic light show. Counting Crows came on last, and played mostly from their newest (and unfamiliar) album. A lot of people got up to leave toward the end, I think due to the song set and that it was a Wednesday night.

We had two bathroom breaks at the beginning and the end of the show. My niece and I rocked out. I realized I had taken the twins to their first concert at the same age; I guess its a new tradition. Now I'll have to take my younger nephew to his first concert in two years.

My town has been taken over by squealing teens in anticipation of the Jonas Brothers tonight. All over there are cars with writing on them declaring their love for all things Jonas. I can only imagine the high pitches of tonight's event. Its raining now, I hope it clears up by tonight.

Ok, Racetrack, I'll move my date up to August 25th. Everything else remains the same.

What happened last night on the Olympics? I have to play catch up? Did Michael swim? When is the next basketball game?

have a good day everyone!

Wait! Pikester! What's that in your tag about Harry Potter?

Cool, sorry to break it to you but I think Adam is:bride: :confused3 not sure but could be. Very cool about taking the DN's to there first concert.
Bummer about Crows, I would want to here the old with the new.

Disney54us congrats on your 1000th post! :rockband:

Hello All,

Been busy lately. Unfortunately, not just enjoying my new mattress. (however it is still :cloud9: heavenly to sleep on) School can't start soon enough. What is it about the last 2 weeks of summer that makes kids blow a gasket???? Haven't got a moments peace. :headache:
Plus, its the 1 year anniversary of the day my Dad died. :sad1: Been feeling sad and missing him a great deal.

Disney54us - congrats on the 1000th.:cheer2:

 understand. The first is the worst. I would look at the clock and remember everything.:grouphug: We're here for you. If you just want to be silly and take a few minutes, or if you want to talk about him.
Thanks for the congrats. I do have to say in some parts of the country they go through all year with 2-3 week breaks every 6-8 weeks. I'm beginning to think thats all they need.

Yay on 1000!!!!!!!!!

What's up with the Olympics? Beach volleyball? For 2 hours? Puh-leeze!! We want Michael Phelps!!!

 D&DDisney on this difficult day.

I'm so excited--I was able to set up music lessons today and we are all at the same time! Wednesday nights at 6, Danny will take guitar again, Laura is starting piano, and I am going back to voice lessons (after about, um, 18 years or so!) SO psyched that we can go all at one time!

I had a session with my trainer today and it was good to be 'back in the saddle". I actually enjoyed the workout, and I'm looking forward to a pool class tomorrow. Maybe the mojo is returning!

Not much else to say. You all will have to carry the conversation...:lmao:

Evening!!!! Just taking a little break from making candy to watch a little Olympics and to check in here.

D&DDisney-I changed the date for you. :thumbsup2 And if lighttech does have baby lighttech on your original date, you can get credit for that one too. Power going to my head? :confused3 :rotfl: Do you know how hard it is not to rack up my post count while I'm up all by myself? I could hit well over 1000 before M&N gets back. :grouphug: for you on this sad day.

MagiKitty-Did you see our ladies volleyball team come back to win tonight? Even DH was cheering for them and he swears that has nothing to do with their little uniforms. :rotfl: :rolleyes1 You wanted to change your guess for the birthdate, right?

pepper-I've never read any of the Harry Potter books either. I keep meaning to borrow DD but I always end up buying myself something else to read. One of these days, I'll get around to it.

Hello disney54us, Pikester, lighttech!!!

Looks like ya'll have a lot going on.
Oh, I wish I could catch up.
I have 5 min.
Wanted to let you know I'm still alive and well.
Every time I sit at the computer to catch up I'm called away by life.
Busy with work, getting DD back into the school routine and trying to finish up my planning for upcoming trip.

MagiKitty--- I'll try and PM you this weekend or upcoming week so we can finalize our meet.

I'm hoping to finish up Flat TKers this weekend.

I'll try and go back and skim a little so I won't be totally lost.
Bear with me.

OK, life is calling again. Gotta get off computer.
See what I mean?:confused3 I just got on here.:sad2:

MISS YOU GUYS.:grouphug:

Could that suit get any lower? :rolleyes1

Night!!! Sweet dreams everyone!

Thanks everyone for the hugs on this sad time. Just amazing how all the memories come flooding back. Plus, I'm a little edgy from PMS anyway. Feel like crying and eating a whole pan of brownies, then yelling at others for letting me.

Just wanted to pass along my bargain of the week...
The Budget Board had a thread about Super 8s special sale going on until 8/15 for $8.88 rooms (must use by Dec. 08).
http://www.super8.com/Super8/control/super888promo

Tried the other night and got one... for the WI Dells area. It's a King 2 room suite for $10 total w/ tax:cool1: :cool1:
Then we got very discounted tickets to Noah's Ark Water park with a free return day cause it's the end of the season and the crowds aren't that large.:woohoo: I feel like the Queen of discount vacations right now and the kids are soooo excited. What a nice way to end the summer.

Okay...you have to excuse the indoor mens volleyball game because the USA was playing Bulgaria. My house was a little divided last night. The USA won, but we would have been happy no matter what.

those Michael Phelps pics are very nice:thumbsup2
