Good Morning all!

It's cloudy here, AGAIN! I want sun! I want sun! It's suppose to rain later this afternoon and tomorrow is going to be a wash out big time! The weather is looking good for Friday and Saturday but we'll see how it goes.

DH's 20th High School Reunion festivities are this weekend. We will be attending a gathering Friday evening at a local bar to "meet and greet" his fellow NMS graduates of 1988. On Saturday we will be attending a family picnic for lunch at a local park. Everyone will get the chance to show off their families.(DS11 is testing for his 3rd degree brown belt that day so I'm not sure how long we well be staying for the picnic.) Saturday evening we will be attending a dinner with a DJ/band(?) being held at our Town's Opera House/Town Hall. We get to breakdance the night away I guess! :rotfl: I know some of his former classmates all ready so the night should be fun. We live in such a small town that you typically know the 3 or 4 grades ahead of you and the 3 or 4 grades behind. Maybe not everyone but atleast the people's names you heard over the intercom at school. "Would John Smith please report to the office immediatly!" Many people from my DH's class are welll known ecspecially after the "Food Fight of 88". I was hiding under the table during that one. The lunch ladies closed their window so fast! Oh my God! I felt so bad for one guy who had a broken leg and couldn't move out of the line of fire. That poor thing was covered! Lets just say this weekend could be interesting.

M&N: I think a Visa GC sounds like a good purchase. They can be used anywhere a Visa Credit Card is accepted.

Racetrack: Haven't used the logic on DH yet. Will do so tonight when he gets home from work. Who knows, he could be reading this right now since he knows I come on here and he knows how to find me. Yikes!

Shmu: Glad you stopped by. Congrats on the house! I'll keep my fingers cross that all goes smoothly with the closing. How is the knee feeling this morning?

MaggiKitty & lighttech: Hello! Hello!

In my senior year in high school, I somehow ended up being Class Secretary. Don't ask, I don't know how it happened. But no one told me that its a life sentence! When I was contacted by the Class President about organizing the class reunion, I told her I wasn't even interested in attending. She said "but you're Class Secretary", and I answered "TEN years ago!".

I ended up helping out with the planning and attending. I actually had a good time. But I'm dreading the idea of having to work on/attend reunions for the rest of my life!

Have fun this weekend Pikester. If you're surrounded by friends--and the DJ sounds like lots of fun!--it should be a good time. I'm supposed to have better weather for this weekend, so you should too!

Hi everyone!
D&DDisney Glad that your trip wasn't ruined by the problems you had and everyone is ok.
Bopsmom Looks like Dolly is heading for Brownsville. Those of us in NM are looking forward to the tropical depression that shows up. Hopefully it won't turn into a Cat 2 or cause too much destruction.
Shmu Hope your knee isn't too sore today. :wizard:
Pikester Have fun at the reunion.

I can't give advise on ADRs as I seldom make any. Last trip we made one on the same day we ate. We only got turned away once and that's because DH wouldn't listen to me. :confused3 But mostly it's because we eat at CS or at really odd times.

Pikester - This trip last November is the first time I really used ADRs (except for one character breakfast that DH set up when we went a few years ago.) But, we, unfortunately, don't go as often as I'd like. (Only twice since we've been married.) But, this time, I had found DIS and a few other sites and really got into planning. I thoroughly enjoy eating and food in general, but it isn't really a focus for me on the Disney trips.. its more about the experience.

So, I obsessed beforehand about what reservations to schedule. But, mostly I concentrated on character meals or themed restaurants. I don't think I changed any after the ressies were made, but I know a lot of people do. I sort of figured that doing the World w/ an almost 3 yr old, I wasn't going to have any better idea what we would be prepared for 180 days out, or that morning! :rotfl: But, I did know who his (and my) favorite characters were, so at least I could plan for seeing some of those.

Schmu - Sorry about the knee! I hope its feeling better. But, congrats on the house!!!! That's so exciting.

Thanks for all the comments about the room. I'm excited.

We're not really doing a space theme, just the "night sky." I think its b/c the nursery that was done for him originally (that he's moving out of) has a daytime sky. So, he kind of things that the sky is supposed to be on the ceiling. But, he told me that since he sleeps there, it should be nighttime.

He's also picked out Cars (pixar) sheets that I need to order. I'm kind of trying to meld it all into a "transportation theme" so that eventually if he wants the Cars sheets to go, they can just be plain, or trains or trucks or planets or whatever he's into at that time. Then, I figure the "sky" should last him for a while and we can just decorate the rest of the room around the sky color.

The babies room is one I love and am pretty proud of. (I had a little more time doing that one since I didn't have a toddler at the time.) I themed it sort of after the Ernest Shepard Winnie the Pooh watercolor illustrations. But, again something that can grow. I painted the walls a nice cream (in my head, pages of an old book), nice white trim. Then, I sponged a pale blue sky in diff't shades w/ white clouds sponged on top (using a glaze to make them very soft.) So that it would look like watercolor. There's a beautiful pine loft on one side of the room that always reminded me of a tree house, so that wall got a mural of a tree w/ some branches painted under the loft and the big bushy green part on the "interior" walls of the loft and the ceiling over the loft. I kept the actual Pooh theme to a lightswitch plate and decorations etc., so they can be removed at any time they are outgrown... I figure a big 'ol "No Girls Allowed (except for Mom)" sign will make the "tree house" acceptable for a few more years. But, no need to worry about that w/ the new baby coming soon.

Sorry, just kind of rambling... not sure where all that came from. We had major storms roll thru last night, and I couldn't sleep w/ all the thunder. So, I'm not sure I'm even making sense.

You did have a busy day! We put the plastic glow in the dark stars on our DS10 ceiling when he was younger and they ripped some of the wallboard off. It came with this putty stuff to help stick it but after it's been up there awhile the stuff gets hard. My DH has plans to scrape it off and redo the ceiling. I am hoping to redo DS10 whole room since he is outgrowing the decor that is there now. I'm thinking of this http://www.domestications.com/Produ...+a+Bag+/10000/10800/X13394x/Nao/15/R/13394A_F

Kick up your feet and have a rest after the little one goes to bed tonight. Have DH give you a foot rub. Tell him Pikester said he has to do it or I'll send my cousin Bruno
24.gif
over there! Bruno can massage a foot like nobodies business!

That bedding set looks nice, and its a great price for a bed-in-a-bag. I've also had good luck at Overstock.com (since their shipping is always $2.95 and under) and a few times I've seen nice stuff online at JC Penney. But, I like all the colors on the set you picked.

Hey!! Waiting on the storms today. We are suppose to get some good ones.

Pikester-have fun at the reunion. I've never been to one of mine and I don't plan on ever going to one either. There just are not enough people I would want to see.

lighttech-I think the ceiling as the sky would last for a while.
You really could alter the decor for whatever DS is interested in at the moment.

Gotta run!!! DD12 is bugging to get on here.

Good Day Mates,
(Feeling a little Aussie today)

Having another great weather day here...76, sunny and low humidity. My perfect weather. Hope that Dolly isn't causing too much havoc in TX. Sorry to hear of the rain in other places.

Pikester - My DH is having his 20th class reunion this weekend too. Can't believe its been 20 years. He chose not to go to it though. Bummer. I bet it would have been fun. Not as fun as yours sounds like it will be. ;)

Lighttech - Your son's room sounds great. We did our nursery in classic Pooh way back when. Now my DS6 wanted Cars too, but I convinced him to go w/ Sports and just get Cars sheets. Hopefully that decor will last a bit longer. Don't want to be changing rooms every few years. My DS10 has an army/camo theme going in his. He too had stars on his ceiling when he was little. I refused to paint the ceiling though and just put them up on white. Heck, when the lights go out, it looks dark up there anyway.

Magikitty - Didn't you know that once a class secretary, always a class secretary. :lmao:

Shmu - Hope your knee feels better today. Ouch!!!! Congrats on the house!

Hi racetrack and M&N  Glad to see the night owls talking track. Or should I say "track smack"?:rotfl2:

FINALLY!!!!! I'm all caught up! You guys are just so chatty!!!:lmao:

Oh, I wanted to add that we celebrated my Dad's kidney's 8th birthday over the weekend. We've been very blessed to have such a successful transplant!

Congrats to your Dad!!! My Dad needs a new one too--he just got on the list though, so it's gonna be a few years...

I had an unexpected dr.'s appt today... but everything is FINE!!! :goodvibes Hope this isn't TMI, but a little spotting, combined w/ the Braxton Hicks I was having last night and I got a little nervous. Dr. said to come in, checked it out and said that there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Even though I know its kinda' weird b/c I didn't stop by to voice my concern, I wanted to come by and share my happy news w/ you all. :)

I did feel a little bad for DS, I had just told him we would get dressed and take a picnic lunch to the park and then play for a while when I discovered the "issue." So, instead he had to get dressed and come be bored w/ me at the Dr.'s office. I must brag a bit here... he was such a little trooper. He did whine a little at first, but I told him it was imp't to go to make sure Mommy and the baby were healthy and he perked up. He asked if we could go later, and I said we would see (I planned on it provided everything was o.k. but I didn't want to promise again.) So, when my app't was all over, he said "Excuse me Dr... Is is ok if Mommy and I go to the park for a little while?" :cutie: The Dr. told him it would be o.k. as long as Mommy took it easy. He said "OK, but I"m going to run around real fast." The Dr. assured him that would be fine. Then at the park, DS kept directing me to diff't benches that I should sit on and rest while he played. :cloud9: He has his moments, but he really is my little

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: SOOO glad you're ok! Take it easy, will ya? Give that little guy a huge  from me--what a sweetheart he is!

That's the other reason I love my Sienna-it was the first "new" car I owned and has been paid for for years. I started out with VW's, moved to old company cars, etc. but never a brand-spanking new one.
I don't know what I will do about landscaping with a hatchback? Can you put a trailer on a hybrid.

I LOVED my Sienna! Only reason I got rid of it was the mileage--16 mpg just wasn't cutting it anymore.

I don't think you can tow with a hybrid.

DD and her best friend at dinner (festhause in Germany) DS and his best friend were too busy on the coasters to eat ha ha.

OK, WHAT's wrong with this picture??? Dinner in Germany, and they're eating PIZZA??? Didn't know pizza was German food!!:rotfl2:

While waiting in dr office today, I saw a neat activity for kids that would be especially good in this heat. It's called Solar S'mores. They took a pizza box and lined it with aluminum foil...the shinny side up. They took graham cracker squares and put the Hershey bar on one half and the marshmallow on the other half. You can do as many as would fit in the box I guess. So the bottom of the box has the squares. The lid stays open when you put the box in the sun. They claimed it took 30 min for the chocolate to melt and the marshmallow to cook. You then put them together for your s'more. I just thought that sounded like a fun thing for the kids to do in the heat.

COOL!!!! Who thinks of this stuff? It sounds yummy. I might have to try that sometime with the kids!

whgrn....you are the diet guru! Losing weight on vacation, I didn't think that was possible. Are you packed for Scotland yet? I'm so excited for you. We want lots and lots of pictures--and include those guys in kilts for extra fun.

I'm not packed yet, but I did make my list. I will pack tomorrow while I sit home and wait for DD's furniture to be delivered. Her room is completely empty (well, I did put the rug in there when the painter was done) It looks SO different (green instead of pink & purple), and so empty!

Don't worry about pictures--I'll probably take about 500, and some of them might even be of something OTHER than guys in kilts!!:lmao:

Hi friends.:hippie:
Just checking in to let you know I'm still alive.
No time to catch up yet.
Remember the house we bought and fixed up?
We have a contract on it and are hoping to close in a week.
My DS is so excited.

WOO HOOO!!! Way to go Shmu!

Hey!! Waiting on the storms today. We are suppose to get some good ones.

We're getting a doozy right now--thunder & lightning (really LOUD!) but the rain has been on and off. Hope it stops before I have to drive home! (I'm at my sister's for the day, and she'll come to my house tomorrow) OOOF--that was a BIG clap of thunder!

Today I went shopping with DSis and decided to get a new pair of shorts. The ones I've been wearing are just WAY too big. I tried on a couple, and ended up getting a pair in size 16W!!!! Woohoo!!! My DSis now hates me for wearing a smaller size than she does!:lmao:

Can't believe I'm leaving in 2 days. I am SO not ready yet, but tomorrow I'll get it all done. Think you guys could tone it down a bit for the next couple weeks? I'll NEVER catch up again if you keep being so chatty!:rotfl:

Evening!!! Another round of storms is heading our way, I think. But it's finally cooling off.

I'm still trying to finalize plans for our last 2 days of vacation. We are leaving to come home the Monday after T-day and of course we are driving. First, we were going to sleep in, hit DTD for some last minute shopping and then start to head home. Then I thought we would get up early and then head to Daytona and tour the racetrack, museum, etc. Stay until mid-afternoon and then head for home.

Now today, I was looking on-line showing DD12 the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. DH saw it and was pretty excited about it. It would take us longer to get home if we went that way. So, I don't know if I should just skip Daytona or cut the visit short. We really would like to see Daytona and don't want to be rushed and worried about making sure we drive far enough that first day. Geez. why does vacation have to be so complicated? :rotfl2:

Goodness everyone has been chatty. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Lighttech—loved the trip report. He sounded so excited–and isn’t that what it’s about? I’m impressed that his math skills have gone up to 90 now. Please do not feel guilty about the movies with DH. You deserve a field trip too. I was worried about babysitting my 7 mo old cousin because she doesn’t have much away from Mommy time and she needs it.

Bopsmom–One of the things I love about our Tkers is the help that is freely given. We have a great group here.

Pikester–I cannot remember what I was going to say to you. My notes say ‘waited on’ but I wrote the notes several hrs ago??? I’m writing this off line now because I’m expecting a call so I’ll have to review later.

Whgrn—I’m not sure how you’re Flat Tker will look...flat AND thin! I’m sooo envious. Great job. Loved the report too.

Racetrack–Can’t get DH quiet? Yeah, right! Wait until you meet Racetrack!
1.gif

Pepper–I haven’t been to Busch Gardens for years. A friend was there several weeks and loved their newest coaster. They think their food is much better than Hershey. Left over cake!
4.gif
Hope your dad’s scan was good today.

MagiKitty–I loved your statement about the 'kindness of the Tkers spoiled me' and could not agree more. Maybe we need a motto about that. It is hard to keep out of something when someone's being so wronged.
[.
The new coaster is called the Griffin, it looks crazy scary. My DS and his friend rode it three times.
That cake was oh so good!!! My diet is waaayyy down the tubes these days.

That sounds really fun! I might give it a try.

You snuck in there...Hershey wasn't too crowded but I didn't go back to the Boardwalk. The Comet's line was not very long. When I left, the rides were not running yet after the storm.

Did you hear a lady got the end of a finger cut off on the sky ride at Dutch Wonderland? It got caught in the bar that closes the seat. I heard it was an inch off and they could not find it to reattach it.

Eeewwwww. Hope she is okay now..well except the fact she lost her finger.

I'll keep your secret for you. :thumbsup2 I don't get on here as much as when the kids are in school and it does feel strange. I miss it sometimes, and others I look around the whole disboards and don't miss all the drama.

Drama? on the DIS? Nahhh. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Also sounds like syndrome you get at a Ben and Jerry's! Cherry Garcia/Chunky Monkey???hmmmm

Thanks guys! We're fine.
I jus got up-1st cup of coffee, will check weather in a minute.....yesterday Dolly looked like it was coming in at Brownsville, TX.They are having a news conference this morning.
I think we'll just get rain, which we need but we don't want training rains which always leads to flooding. We should be seeing the outter bands today/tonight.

I snapped these if anyone is interested.

We live in the yellow square.

Look between the 'S' and 'T' in the word Houston:

Check in later :wave2:

So how are you guys doing today? I heard TX was getting hit pretty hard. I guess it would be a dumb question if I asked if you have power because if you are answering me you clearly do ha ha.

I've been lurking over in the restaurant thread and after reading a bunch of posts I decided to come over here and ask you ladies a question.

Once you have decided where you want to eat and make the ADR, how often do you change it?

So much I think they know me by name ha ha. I think I am happy...for now.

Skimmed over this page, but that's about it...

We've been very busy. I'm trying to get DSs "big boy room" all done in advance so we can move him in and get the nursery all cleaned up. Of course he decided he wanted a "nighttime sky" for his room. Well, let me tell ya'... dark blue paint takes a lot more coats than I would like! :rotfl: I'm about 1/2 way thru coat #2, and I think we're in for a third one. But, the subsequent coats do seem to be going faster than the first, and I don't have to cut in anymore, the corners and edges are fine, its just the rolled part that will need coat 3. Plus, DH is trying to help too.

Today was Dr. check up and grocery shopping, then a walk over to DMs for a quick visit. So, I've basically been on my feet all day. In mid-80's and goodness knows what humidity, I look like I'm wearing some sort of funny foot slippers instead of my real feet. :rotfl2: DS finally went down for a short nap, bless his heart, so I'm gonna let him sleep a little late and sit on my butt in the air conditioning w/ my feet up for a wonderful 20 minutes or so.

But, wanted to at least check in here and say "hi."

Hope all is well and I'll try to catch up later.

Glad you at least got some rest after your busy day.

That room is pretty cool!

A friend's daughter is getting married in Las Vegas in Aug. Her future husband is in the service there. I'm going to a shower on Sat. They asked for monetary gifts. I'm wondering what to do. How about a gift card for Penneys or Sears? Any other suggestions? I wanted something for her to open and thought of a nightie set but her mom got her one. She's flying out and really has no room to take much. He will go overseas in Nov but she's going to stay there.

My aunt gave me a cookbook and in the "Bread" section she put a $100 bill. I thought that was neat.

From funniest comments you've overheard at WDW:
Leaving Minnie's house in Toontown, I heard
Daughter: "Mom, how come Minnie doesn't have a bedroom her house?"
Mom: "She sleeps over at Mickey's, but it's a secret so don't tell anyone."

Thought it was so cute!

I have my Mickey Hallmark ornaments on my desk all the time. Who's going to complain?

That is funny!!!!

Hi friends.:hippie:
Just checking in to let you know I'm still alive.

My DS is so excited.
This is what he wants to do so we are helping him get started.

Had an interesting night tonight.
We got hit with a STRONG storm. Hail, wind, rain, lightening.
I was calling my dogs in and it was so loud they couldn't hear me.
Finally the beagle - Scrappy - heard me and came inside.
We couldn't find our other dog - Bubbles - a husky, beagle mix.
We finally found her - poor thing - scared half to death hiding up against the basement wall.
Let her inside through the basement and was walking her up through the house to our garage.
She panicked and took off with me holding on to her.
I came down HARD on my left knee. I started crying it hurt so bad.
Couldn't move it for about 30 min.
I can move it now but it's very tender.
I'm probably going to have one huge bruise there tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well.
I'll try and catch up a little at a time.

COngratulations on the contract! How is your knee doing today? Hopefully all you end up with is a bruise.
My dogs name is Scrappy too btw.

Round 2 Oh, I didn't tell you guys. My laptop has a kinda new funny virus. Every once in a while a random rap song will start playing in the background and oh my what filthy language. Then some lady will dub over it telling me where to go buy the filthy song! Funny thing is, there is no pop up, and no extra programs showing as running. Ad-Aware does not even pick it up so I guess my computer will just have to be a potty mouth for a while. ha ha.

OK, WHAT's wrong with this picture??? Dinner in Germany, and they're eating PIZZA??? Didn't know pizza was German food!!:rotfl2:

ha ha. All three of us walked right past the German selections. I lived in Germany for two years and I never cared for the food...I ate most meals at home or on Post.

Your big trip!!!! How exciting! Can't wait to see your pics. Take lots and lots. And how awesome that you are going and can wear all your cute new little clothes! I'm so proud of you. You have really worked hard. Now go enjoy your reward. We will miss you.

The break line had rusted through and fluid leaked out. Didn't realize it was so rusty underneath. From now on we're having them checked each year.

That's funny about the sweatshirt. I'm wearing one because it was so cold in the mts. Still got my shorts on but needed my beloved Mickey sweatshirt. Heck, 45-50 felt good after days of 90s.

That is very scary! I made DH check my brakes. He looked at me funny, but he did it. Turns out I need break pads.
:scared1:

Lighttech—
Pepper–Hope your dad’s scan was good today.

Thanks for asking. We have not gotten the results back, but the scan was not as bad as he thought. He said it was a long two hours and he said that those people really need to learn how to make a smoothie, and he wants a refund. (they give you some stuff to drink that smells good but apparently tastes terrible) :lmao:

racetrack: Dang those vacations!

MagiKitty: I wasn't on the board or anything but I still got roped into helping organize my 10yr reunion (skipped the 15th so the next one will be the 20th in 2011). What a PITA that was! Trying to track everyone down and get addresses for them. I'd like to say "Never agian" but I have a feeling if I'm not involved it won't get done.

lightech: I'm with you on the obsessing before the 180 day period but I was amazed at the amount of people who are constantly changing their ADRs. I guess I understand a little; if they didn't get a ressie they wanted and just made one to have and then they keep calling back to see if the one they really wanted has become available. I haven't had to deal with that yet as when I went the first time I didn't know any better about where to eat and for this trip I got all the ressies that I wanted. There were 3 ressies that I had to make work. LeCellier is a late lunch instead of dinner, I had to switch LTT from Tues to Weds because of MVMCP (we are not going to that) therefore I moved breakfast at Ohanas to Tues instead of Wed.

Oh, and you can ramble all you want. I'll read whatever you write!

D&DDisney: How are you "shelia"? I am about ready to "do my block" over my "idiot box" going out because "Hughie" is sending all this blasted rain my way! (Trying out some Aussie slang.)

whgrn: TWO MORE DAYS! :woohoo: TWO MORE DAYS! :woohoo:

I think I've decided to go ahead and order the bedding for my DS10's room. (I almost called him DS11. I've been doing that alot lately. I swear I'm not trying to rush it!) DH wants to repaint his room this winter so I can put it away until then and not worry that it won't be available when I need it.

pepper-:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I know it's not really funny about the little song on your computer but yeah, it kinda is. Sorry! That is exactly why I always keep the volume turned down on my computer. I could so see something like that happening to me.

Pikester-I only have 3 ADRs for this vacation and I will be cancelling one. I made all me decisions way before the 180 day mark and have yet to change my mind. I guess it helps since we don't like to do TS everyday. :rotfl: So which logic did you use on DH? The it only works out to such and such per year or my other favorite "If I don't get it now, they might not have it/still be on sale when I do need it?"? I used the second one to get a new cooler for when we went to the beach. We could have used our old one for the day...no big deal. But we needed a new one for vacation. Needless to say, we have a new one now. :rotfl:

Hello---I'm back. I had a nice day shopping. We had a big storm while we were in Michaels but we just took our time. A friend called my cell while I was away. She asked where I was. She was at my house and Patrick was in his garage and I wasn't answering the door. She knows I don't unless I know who it is and she was yelling--it's me. She called the house phone and I didn't answer. So she called the cell. She was worried I was in the house and something was wrong. If I hadn't answered she was calling my mom and asking where I was and going to her house and get my house key and calling 911. I said 'great-now you need to know my schedule too!' She was one of my library aides---for 20 years---and we are good friends. She took care of my house when I was gone to FL for a month. I called her when I got home and we went out to eat...I thanked her for checking up on me and told her Patrick would be home alone tomorrow too. I'm going to Baltimore to the baseball game. She said as long as she knew, it was ok!

To make everyone feel younger, I got dates for my 40th high school reunion.
4.gif
I haven't gone to any others so will probably skip this one too.

Whgrn: I want pics of guys in kilts in front of their castle. I cannot promise not to be chatty...You know how Racetrack can be some nights. Will you be able to post about your trip?

Racetrack--I'm not really sure it would be that much longer to go over the bridge tunnel. When I visit relatives in Suffolk we go that way. It is a more relaxing way to go for us. We don't go as far north as you might have to on route 1. I would have to look at the map to see how/where you go west. Going around Dover you want to take route 1. It's a toll road but saves going through all that traffic and it still goes right beside Dover Downs.

Evening everyone! Did Dolly take a detour and come to NY? We got nailed this evening with terrible rain, lightning, and thunder. Its starting to let up now, so I was able to come one. I lost satellite signal for most of the evening. The news has lots of flooding coverage.

M&N...what a good friend you have! But I'm sure you gave her a big scare...

Racetrack...I love that bridge. Its really a marvel of engineering and it just such an experience. If you could do it, I would. But I know about you and racing, so if its between Daytona and the bridge, its going to be a difficult decision.

whgrn...congrats on the new shorts size. Your trip is just hours away! Sorry to hear about your dad. My father was on dialysis for a year while the rest of us were tested to be donors. My oldest brother, younger sister, and I were all potential matches, but my brother and I were less desirable because of exposure (we're both in the medical field), so my sister was chosen. She was only 20 at the time and had to undergo lots of psych evaluations, but thankfully everything worked out great. I'm adding your Dad to my prayer list. Please let me know if I can help you at all.

Pepper--good to hear about your Dad too! I know about those shakes, they're really tough to get down, and if you get it on your face its nearly impossible to wash off! The smell is just a tease. And that virus! How terrible! I wish I knew how to help out, but I'm computer-challenged. And get those brakes taken care of!

Pikester, you got Le Cellier?! You'll have to let me know. That's like the Holy Grail of ADRs, I gave up on that one long ago.

How's my Aussie friend D&D doing?

racetrack: I brought the subject up and didn't even get to use the logic. He told me that he had all ready given me his answer. He told me to do whatever I want. So, I used the logic on myself and I am going to go for it! :rotfl:

pepper: Keep us updated on your Dad.

I am so not a phone person (I am not much of a face to face person either). I have to work up my nerve just to call for the ADRs the first time so calling to change them would really be hard on me. I've diagnosed myself:laughing: with a small case of social anxiety or extreme shyness. I have a hard time talking with people I don't know; unless it's on the internet :lmao:. I try to be as friendly as I can be, ecspecially at Disney, but I always get butterflies in my tummy. I'm not as bad as I use to be since I've had kids and I work really hard not to let my kids see me so nervous. I don't want them affected by it.

DL55: We plan to eat at odd times for our CS meals. I made sure to make ADRs at odd times too so those would fit in with our CS meal. We plan to eat early for everything. 11:00am lunches and 4:00pm dinners. We normally eat supper around 4:30p at home anyways.

Bopsmom: Hope we hear from you soon. Please let us know how you are doing.

M&N-I don't think I could keep up with you if I tried. Do you ever stay home? :lmao: That's sweet about your friend though. But next time, don't forget to clear your schedule with her.

I already know the way to get to and home from the bridge. I had that "discussion" with dad last week. If we don't really make any long stops, I don't think it would take much longer. But then, DH saw on the map that they have a fishing pier so that could possibly slow us down for a couple of hours/days. :lmao:

I must take way to long to post!

Hi M&N! You should make up an itinerary that you can hand out to those who need to be in the know.

The fishing pier is nice. You usually see fishing boats out too. It's fun to eat htere too but I felt sick watching the waves hit the rocks. I think your kids would enjoy it too.

Pikester---hope we help you get over your shyness. :rotfl: I do think it's hard to get to know people in person too.

I hear thunder --getting closer---I won't stay on during a storm---try and get back on later.
